hAlo 4 THEATER mode.

It would be awesome if 343 made a new theater system that worked like an actual camera. The features that I would love to see is the ability to change different lenses such as a wide angle lens to a macro lens even. It would also be nice to have some sort of dolly so you can have nice smooth shots as well. What do you want to see in Halo 4’s theater mode?

Well personally, I’d like to be able to watch videos with my friends every once in a while, instead of having to recommend the clip to them. I don’t understand why this wasn’t done with Halo:Reach. The only reason I could think of is a technical issue, but who knows.

I’d also like to see some cool filters maybe? Or just make it to where you can merge multiple clips to make your own personal montage? That’d be kinda cool.

The different lenses idea wouldn’t be that hard to do, all it is, is a slight change in the FOV, the wide angle lens or 'Fish eye lens" give you a greater FOV than a Telephoto lens.

As long as it’s not like Reach’s Theater Mode. I can’t watch it with friends! That’s one of the dumbest moves Bungie did. Most of my enjoyment came from watching theater with my friends.

I like that idea. However the problem with a macro lens, is you need small subjects to be able to focus on. The Xbox 360 supports HD games, but technically, it’s still quite low in definition, especially for games.

In real light, having a macro lens reveals smaller and smaller details the more you can focus in.

In a game however, you’ll just be expanding pixels.

A macro lens won’t be much use, until gaming fidelity increases at least by a generous amount of megapixels.

The wide lens and telephoto lens make sene though.

How about an automatic panoramic lens. Which captures an entire sphere worth of images. Instead of doing it manually.

Sounds great to me, although the Macro sounds a bit pointless.

I don’t know how, but it would be cool if getting close to explosions wouldn’t make them explode.

It seems like adding filters would be easy–they can do it while we’re playing, why not afterwards when it’s just playing back what happened?

Also, rewind by frames would be fantastic. I’m no expert with code, and I’m sure there’s a good reason why we can’t, but it seems like it shouldn’t be hard.
