Many of the things Halo 4 has to offer are great. I love the multiplayer, Spartan Ops and Campaign and play them all repetitively. How ever one of the things I liked about Halo 3, ODST and Halo: Reach was the ability to watch, record or photograph game-play from your playthroughs of the Campaign or Firefight in theater mode. Why was that removed for Halo 4? It’s solely multiplayer matches that get recorded. I would’ve liked to have a couple screenshots of my Spartan killing some Covies, or maybe record some cool Spartan Ops montages.
This isn’t a glaring issue, but it does sort of take away from the experience a bit. I like customizing my Spartan and making him look cool, but there’s no real way to appreciate the customization of your Spartan in a first person perspective and given the true appearance of him will only show up in one game-type… It’s just sort of a bummer that they didn’t put more into the theater mode.
Maybe I’m part of the minority who gave a blam about the ability to watch my Spartan kick Covenant -Yoink-, but everyone has fun their own way. What’s your opinion? Was minimizing the theater mode a better option, or was it an unfortunate design choice by 343i?
