We all or most of us used the halo 3 theater and even though it wasn’t perfect it was pretty close to it in my opinion. In halo reach the theater system was an disaster and I’m not sure who was in charged of making the theater system in halo reach but it was awful.
Now in halo 4 I would love for it to be improved so friends can do what they did back in the older days of halo 3, which was to show how you did in a game or even take notes from the MLG players of the time.
The theater system defiantly needs an improvement when it comes to connection, I remember if you weren’t the party leader with the best network among your peers you couldn’t share your videos unless you boot them but that would also cause the playback to be slower when your friend joined back. The system also needs to improve the fast forward and rewind features like they have it in hulu where you click the right trigger to make it go from 2x speed to 4x and so on, it also works rewinding it.
What are your thoughts about the improvements and how you’d like theater to be?
Improve the amount of players that can be in the theater lobby back to four. Play as party, watch clips as a party. I was saddened that you could not do this in Reach.
Rewinding-Fast Forwarding at different speeds (as you mentioned it). With rewinding, be an actual rewind that allows you to go frame by frame (as with the fast forwarding).
This one sounds a little silly as you can do it in Forge but what if you wanted to take add special filters to the video on the spot? I think that be pretty cool for screen shots.
I would be happy with any improvement. Even if just 2 people could watch a video in the same party would be great. I understand it takes band with to do this but it adds to the enjoyment of the game. If they had to cut file share from 24 to 12 to do this I wouldn’t mind.

Actually that’s not silly at all. There are times I WISH I would have had a filter on to capture a shot in a different color mode. To be able to add this in theater would be AWESOME. Make it a small pop up to turn off and on filters.
I’d love to be able to take the same exact shot with different filters, without having to set up each shot manually.

I am really curious as to what they’re going to do to improve it because I can’t imagine they’ll leave it completely untouched. Personally, I’m hoping for an in-game editing feature. Granted, I don’t see it happening but it would be pretty nifty to have.
Seriously guys? Halo Reach’s Theater is better in a lot of ways from Halo 3. The only thing they had to downgrade from Halo 3 (Notice the “had to”.) was the amount of players in the party and THAT was because Reach couldn’t handle the load because it’s graphics were greatly improved and Bungie didn’t have enough time to make it run with 2-4 players.
