I hate this game. I have been playing Halo since Halo: Combat Evolved. Been a die-hard fan of the series and always defended it and stuck with it. It has been my favorite video game series. Halo 4, however, is not Halo. Halo is fun, I have absolutely no fun on this game. If I go way positive and my team wins, it means nothing to me. If I lose and go negative, I am frustrated. Never do I feel joy like I have with previous Halo games. 343i appealed to the badkids and the casuals by making this game easy to play, so that anyone can pick it up and do good. Just like Call of Duty. Now, even Halo takes no skill. This game was the death of competitive gaming, and Halo, as a series, for me. Playing this game honestly depresses me. I wanted this game to be good. I supported 343i and I defended halo against the CoD kids and held my ground and I stayed loyal to halo and bought this game on launch day… and I get… this. Halo died with Bungie. This game should have never been made, because now it just leaves us true Halo fans with bad tastes in our mouths. This is how we are repaid for being loyal fans and consumers of Halo. 343i ignores anything negative we say because they think they did a good job with this game. The fact is, they didn’t. This game makes me sick, because it has “Halo” on the box, and it is an outright lie.

By the time Halo 5 comes out, the new franchises from Respawn and Bungie will be out as well. Those games will be original IP’s, and I’d bet those developers are hungrier to prove themselves. Their games will be way more original than Halo 5.
Halo 4 plays like it was cooked up in a boardroom. My prediction, Halo 5 will be an also-ran and only kids’ moms will buy it.

We are thrust into a world of campers, boltshots, spawning with stickies, active camo, and 3 fully automatic weapons that overpower precision weapons. Why? Why have they still not added MLG? Lone Wolves? Nothing. They are catering to the casuals. Killing the real loyal fans.

When the game progresses this far to help bad players score kills, it is time to quit.
I am hoping that the sandbox balance patch will fix this. Untl it is, I am finished with Halo 4. And I bought the -LE-.

I agree. 100% XD Bungie at least still knows what they are doing.

Well, you know this game is terrible when your semi-pro Halo 3/Reach playing dude on your friends list sends a M2AF saying that he returned his copy of Halo 4. Something obviously went wrong.

Well let me guess that these are the people ruining the game for me running around with ARs, boltshots, camping with active camo, double beating down, playing BTB and getting perfections in banshees and thinking they are good at the game?

Well… if you see a bunch of threads saying this game sucks… it probably sucks… I don’t remember people making THIS big of a deal over Reach or Halo 3, because those games were good at their core.

YES!! I have heard 3 people ever say to me that Halo 4 was a good game. One of them was playing Black Ops 2 when he said it. One said it was good, and then proceeded to challenge our team to an “assassinations-only” match. While the final one sounded as if he may be around the age of 10. So…

They’re already putting in aliens, so im guessing half the game will have aspects similar or the exactly the same to the halo franchise. 2. It will probably be nothing like halo, so dont expect some game with weapon spawns and super competitive play styles, it will end up like every other franchise trying to convert more main stream so it doesnt end up dying out.3. It will probably have the same exact features halo 4 brought in, this is based off the poor halfly done halo reach features which were half main stream half halo which ended up being a terrible combination, so I’m assuming bungie will create custom classes or the game will end up not catching fire at all besides for the super die hard bungie fans that will get a rude awakening when the game completely sucks. Bungie made Reach, and if you’d rather play reach than h4, you’re not a true halo fan…

It’s tough.
I hated Reach’s armor lock. Hated it. But I hate Halo 4’s super-camo more. It’s as bad as armor lock to me.
Halo 4 also has the 10 one-shot-kill weapons that can all be on the battlefield at the same time.
The game is a clusteryoink. I can’t believe I’d say this, but yeah, Reach is a better game.
If you think it is so terrible then don’t play anymore. The rest of us would be much better off.
