Halo 4, the Next Best Deal

Don’t get me wrong, Reach was not my favorite game and though I found it to be something interesting, it was’nt at all appealing. Bungie did not put their best foot into that game in their rush to get out of the series. I realize though that it was a prequel, and they don’t always have the best followthrough no matter what series you follow.

Ok, so I’m getting off point here. The fact is, Halo 4 looks great, and everything about it look vibrant and colorful. Unlike Reach, the maps look more than a simple blend of blue, grey, and green. They have maps of molten lava (S.Ops only so far), frozen ones, and maps of traditional descent. While loadouts were not my favorite aspect, I can live with it, and the more broad selection of weapons helps. I feel like a fast moving soldier again from the look of things, so feeling like a super soldier is back in the mix. Armor lock is gone thank goodness, and that was about the only AA I truly did’nt like.

I share your feelings bro. Except the part of reach, i love reach <3

Good news: Classic playlist doesn’t have loadouts and now that movement speed and jumping height have been raised it feels almost identical to Halo 3.

This is the best part of Halo: There are so many ways to play it!

Reach was’nt bad, but it was’nt really great in my book. Still, I don’t intend to change the opinions of others just because I don’t love it.

Ha ha, the funny thing is, I got too busy with work after getting the game that I never played around long enough to see that playlist. I may just pop in the disk and give it another go.

Well, Bungie made it crystal clear that Halo Reach was going to be a dark, gritty and gloomy game which does explain everything everyone hates. I accepted that fact and I still enjoy the game because I recognised it as the Fall of Reach and anyone who has read the novel would know how inexplicable the situation on the planet was like (especially losing a lot of Spartans)

In retrospect, Halo 4’s an awesome game. It is surprisingly underrated as compared to Halo Reach, but I guess surprises are surprises, eh ?

I’d love this game like it were Halo 2 if Elites were playable. But since they aren’t, I’m only in it for Campaign and Spartan Ops.
