Halo 4: The gun game

Welcome all halo fans!
Today I will be showing you what made Halo 2/3 great for me-Weapons.

If you will cast your minds back 7 years into the realm of pre-COD,(i called this the “age of variety”) you should remember the BR55(Battle rifle) and M7/caseless(SMG) from Halo 2. You also should remember the Super-lunge energy sword, with all it’s glitches etc. Let’s not forget the dual-wield Needler and Type-25 energy weapon(Plasma rifle) in all it’s glory. I mean, who can forget all those good times on Waterworks or Ivory tower?

Now zoom forward about 3 years to the era I call the “Halo VS COD” as you all know, unfortunately COD won(multiplayer wise, stupid reach!). Anyway, The MA5C ICWS(AR) was the ultimate spawn weapon, mostly because it only took half a clip to kill someone; this was because the M7/caseless was basically fulfilling the role of the MA5B ICWS(Halo CE’s AR), spray-prone and only useful at shot range. This gave the MA5C ICWS the role between the M7 and the BR55(BR55=long MA5C=Med M7S=Med-short M7=short).The M6G(Pistol) was also better implemented than the M6C(Halo 2’s pistol) in Halo 2, the needle lost it’s dual wield capability for damage and effectiveness. The Brute shot stopped bouncing, unlike in halo 2) so in short, Halo 3 really fixed all the weapon problems of Halo 2.

Now we are in present day. Reach Basically made us all hate the MA37 ICWS(The Crappy AR), all full-auto weapons(save the Needler) are now useless, the Designated Marksman’s rifle(DMR) is now the all-purpose-super-weapon, save the halo rings themselves(no joke, i took out a ghost with one of these), the energy sword is now like a combat knife, the rocket launcher is to easy to use, and the Splazer is a beacon of “I WANNA DIE!!!”, and let’s not even start with the loss of dual wield. The ONLY thing reach did good was defail the pistol, making it a 5-shot with crazy bloom to balance the weapon.

What do you guys think 343 have to do to re-balance weapons in the upcoming halo? I believe they should bring back the MA5C ICWS and the BR55, these weapons would re-balance the whole sandbox and they should take out the DMR as it is too overpowered.

Well I watched an interview with Frank’O’Conner and he said it is a high possibility that 117 will have to use the Frigate for Ammo, now this means there will have to be weapons like the MA5C AR, and the BR55. And whatever other UNSC weapons on board will probably be the ones from Halo 3, that makes the most sense.

Halo weapons are never too overpowered they all suck explain to me why it takes an entire clip to kill a grunt (midsection shots only) when a 50 caliber round is capable of putting a hole in an engine block every gun in Halo 2-Reach seems to fire wooden bullets, dried peas and raisins for all the good they do Weapons should be effective like the pistol from Halo Ce not worthless like every gun in Reach I want serious hardcore weapons with spikes and blades and disease given bullets something like a fully automatic 50 round shotgun with a chainsaw under attachment and the option of firing explosive shells not these lame Covenant weapons with their funky colors and sound they look like something Barbi would use with their bright pinks and yellows why can’t we have cool weapons instead “balanced” ones

So what you’re saying is that you want to play Gears of War?

And a grunt can take a full clip of what type of ammo to the midsection? Cause last time I checked, the Sniper Rifle was a one hit kill in most case.
