Halo 4 Swat Montage(looking for Feedback)!

Hey Guys!

SO I just started a gaming channel for games I enjoy to play on the PC and 360! I will be making montages and lets plays of different games! For my first project I made a Halo 4 Swat Montage and am looking for some feedback! I know its not perfect and that’s why I’m posting here, any and all criticism you have is good!

I tried to keep the clips concise and to the point while not over editing it, which was hard as its fun to edit some of the stuff!

I was also wondering what other type of videos you guys would like to see or would enjoy!

Thanks,

Nice tage. However I do have some big criticisms. The biggest being the gameplay. This was a 3 min Swat montage and (correct me I am wrong) I think I saw 2-3 triple kills. The rest were out playing one or two bad players against the odds and some rather measly double kills. In a Swat montage you should have a good variety of high multikills. By this I mean Overkills at the least. Overkils are supprisingly easy to get in Swat.

My second nit pick would be the music. Personal prefrence I guess. I just didn’t enjoy the music to much nor do I think it complimented/synced well with the montage.

That all said, I really enjoyed it. It seemed very refreshing and laid back which is what I like in montages. Good luck in the future.

PulmonaryHeart4,

I totally agree with the lack of skill in it! Actually that was one of my worries when making it, I took a long break from halo and just came back with this. This clips are from like 2-3 days of playing. So I completely get that! For future projects ill take longer to record, I wanted to push to get this one out so I could get experience with Vegas and get some feedback!

The music I would say is a preference, I tried to sync up some of the plays/editing with the music, but I do need to work on that as well, which is why I pushed to get it out so I could work with Vegas some more.

My question for you is what kind of music would you prefer?

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

That’s all understandable
In future though I would try save up clips over a long period of time. I myself have about 20 clips montage worthy saved up since Halo Reach xD just in case I ever get around to making a montage.

IDK which music to use. I watch so many montages and enjoy the music. However each song is very overused. Take Walking on a dream (kids at the bar remix). It would sync and fit your montage perfectly (apart from the length), however it has already been used so many times. As long as the music tailors to both you and the majority then feel free to use whatever you want.

Ninjas montage using the remix. Seems to fit SWAT montages nicely.

Cool vid…Try matching the kills with the BEAT of the song

I tried to! I need more experience with Sony Vegas I guess and just video editing in general!

Thank you!
