Halo 4: Stuff to do once the campaign is finished.

Okay, so we all love to kick back in Halo campaigns and drop some Covenant, flood or whatever. But I find-some of you may agree-that once the Campaign is done on Legendary and you know the story you usually end up ignoring the Campaign unless you’re helping a friend or something.

Getting to my point Halo 3 changed this, they added in skulls to look for, now i don’t know about you guys but i must of spent 3 hours every night with my friends searching for these skulls for a feeling of accomplishments or achieveables. Adding in little ‘treasure’ hunts in Halo 4 would add something more to do.

My second thought would be to add in Vidmasters. This just added in an extra ‘spice’ if you must and the satisfaction of earning Annual and Endure was just overwhelmingly awesome. Plus adding in Vidmasters you could tie in armour with it, like Recon.

Thank you, For reading.

Wholeheartedly agreed!
Vidmasters was the best thing that ever happened to Halo, and collecting skulls as well as a epic Warthog/mongoose race at the end was so much fun!
I also liked to re-run maps and try to get a better par-time or a higher score, or why not play with a friend or four and go crazy with the tanks (Halo 3)

I liked how the older Halos had replay value, you could try and go another way, explore the beach, board an enemy vehicle or explore the surroundings. Open world = more to do, closed small corridor = CoD = bad.
I’ll never replay Reach campaign except for the last mission (like the ending) and the space mission, Halo 1-3 I might replay every few months and play all missions since they all offered something unique

Yes! Ah, how I loved finally killing every enemy in the beginning of ONI Alpha Site after failing miserably hundreds of times!

The Vidmasters were awesome, especially Annual. One of my favourite times on Halo.

Oh god, no question. I’d love to see more of that, if 343 ever did a Halo 4 or even a new Halo game with Master Chief then I hope they add this kind of thing. It gives a little extra something to the game. Honestly, even if it was hunting for skulls or just trying to finish the game on Legendary with a couple of friends it was always fun.

Halo 3 was a great game, shame Reach didn’t really live up to much campaign wise. I was expecting more when they said a huge battle was in the game. I was really hoping to get a shot on the UNSC army vs the Covenant army on Tip of the Spear :frowning:

On a side note, I would have loved to play through more flood infected areas of High Charity, as in the Mausoleum of the Arbiter? That thing kicked -Yoink- :stuck_out_tongue:

But to be honest, I think 343 is going to really change the face of Halo, I was skeptical at first but it sounds pretty awesome now. And i’ve noticed a change in the community as well, there are no sarcastic trolls…yet :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes the trolls have yet to find a bridge to live under(haven’t found waypoint) but they’ll find it eventually.

They had data pads, but they werent effective enough, they had the credit system but it encourages me to not play the game just like bfbc2. They HAD awsome missions in halo 3 with different moods, and all had something to compare, that feeling of accomplishement, The joyfull mood in halo 3 made me play the campaign, so did the skulls.

I’ve always enjoyed joining up with friends and going through the ‘another way to campaign’ series… the truck races on Winter Contingency have provided hours of fun with friends, although doing Nightfall by the way of the ninja has tested my fireteam buddies to the max!

I would have liked to have seen more reward for collecting the data pads; once their location and text was online to read, a lot of people gave up the hunt, which was a shame.

I would like to point out that the daily and weekly challenges need only a few select rule-sets added in to give us more varied Vidmasters.

As it stands, we’ve had a LASO and LESBB run for a weekly. Those are Vidmasters right there IMO. We’ve had a few Iron + other Skull challenges as well.

As far as an actual Vidmaster Achievement addition, hell ya make Data-Pad collection 1 of them. I personally have read them all and will do it again just for the achievement (not challenge).

And as far as another actual Vidmaster, exterminate 1 B.O.B from each level. I have a collection of all 21 general locations with at least 1 on each level and have killed quite a few. There are over 50 specific spawn locations but in general, they appear in 21 general areas. I’ll do that again too

I have a Noble Difficulty/Vidmaster level for you:

Legendary +
Iron
Tough Luck
Catch
Tilt
Mythic
Thunderstorm
Cowbell
No IWBYD or GBP skulls

Imagine being restricted from avoiding encounters or not being allowed to glitch/spawn reset throughout a level, do so as a personal challenge.
