so i just completed halo 4 today, slowpoke i know, but im kinda annoyed at the ending. firstly no boss fight but i can live without that. but anyways back to my point. when master chief detonates that nuke, do you literally just take it? like, why dont you die? or is master chief new armour nuke proof?
i think cortana did something to shield him from it.
But don’t ask me what? or how?
or if that is even the case.
Cotana modified the light bridge where he was standing and protected chief from the explosion by forming and bubble around him.
Hardlight is very strong.
He’s still lucky.
Cortana made a hardlight bubble around him. In the next cutscene he’s inside said bubble.
“I only held back enough to get you off the ship.”
Seems she used the teleportation capabilities of the ship to move him at the moment of detonation. It makes sense in the Halo universe but it’s a giant WTF! Moment the first time it occurs. 343i tried too hard in my opinion to wow the player. It instead produced an undesirable effect.
Master Chief is an expert at running away from explosions… not surviving them. (Ex: Halo 1 ending, Halo 2 end of first mission, Halo 3 ending, end of First Strike, etc.)
