Lately I have been getting into the Halo story line, so I have been playing through Halo Reach and Halo 1 just to remember the story and go back to the good times. Then I thought to myself; man, I hope Halo 4 doesn’t stray off from the Halo series feel and pretty much make me feel like they are starting over. Instead, I think Halo 4 should get deeper into the story that has already been written with the covenant and the flood. I love that they added forerunner but I want to make sure that now the flood is gone for now they can get in more with the secrets of the forerunner and not just more gameplay for the Halo series. It’s kind of hard to explain but I hope people will understand and give me their opinions.
Well I for one am excited for the direction that Halo is going in. 343i have said they want to make Halo into a darker, more serious game, that there will be no flood in Halo 4, and that they plan on focusing more on the Chief and Cortana.

I thought the flood was pretty cool, I used to be scared of them. I just want to see what happens with the forerunners and I really hope Cortana doesn’t die.
Honestly,no offense but if your just getting into the story now you really shouldn’t be giving 343 suggestions.If you really wan’t to get into the story,go read all the books and you’ll understand,most importantly Glasslands,cryptum and Primordium.
Halo has a very complex story line. I’m very excited about it. I’m reading the books now!

Or you could not waste time and browse Halopedia for the essentials. Quicker and easier.

No offense taken, I have thought about reading the books, I have been playing these games ever since they started and it is my favorite series. But I’m not just now getting into the story, I’m getting back into it. It would be pretty ridiculous if I am posting on a Halo forum if I am just now getting into the action.
