Halo 4 still missing loadout options

It was also rather disappointing to find out that this latest update for Halo MCC still did not include the missing DLC loadout options for Halo 4 from the original Xbox 360 version. I believe this and Spartan Ops Matchmaking are the only features that were present in the Xbox 360 version that are still absent after all these years. There are four loadout options in total missing:

Tactical Packages:
-Resistor: Maintain full mobility while taking fire.
-Fast Track: Bonus XP

Support Upgrades:
-Recharge: Reduces the delay from when shields start recharging from 6 seconds to 5 seconds.
-Survivor: Ejects the user from a vehicle when it explodes.

Fast Track is not really necessary because the XP system in MCC is different to how it worked in Xbox 360 Halo 4, but I still think it should be included as it can benefit a small amount of players exclusive to playing Halo 4 Social (Someone going for Max Rank for example). I believe Halo 4 has the lowest multiplayer player population among all the games, and Fast Track could help sustain the population a bit more (I have not been able to find a Ranked Halo 4 Squad Battle match since Infinite’s Campaign launch. Once I even left myself queued overnight, and when I woke up the next morning, a match still had not been found).

Furthermore, when making a custom game that uses pre-selected Game Loadouts (General Settings > Game Loadouts), the following options are not selectable:

Tactical Packages
-Requisition
-Wheelman

Support Upgrades:
-Drop Recon
-Gunner
-Nemesis
-Stability
-Stealth

Given the Custom Game browser now supports Halo 4, adding these options to custom games using Game Loadouts would allow for a wider variety of custom game possibilities.

Thinking on “Fast Track”, with Player Level tying into earning Spartan Points soon, there is a benefit to that Tactical Package. Although, I don’t know if they still would bring it over as the XP system doesn’t work the same, and there might be other balance considerations.

On some of the other stuff, the omissions are strange whenever there are achievements in Halo 4 based around that content on 360. Perhaps, again, they were purposely excluded due to balancing

I have been wondering this for years. Why are these still missing?

Guys! Resistor, Recharge and Survivor have been added to MCC today! Fast Track doesn’t look like that got added pretty much its obvious, because of the ecosystem that was specific to the Xbox 360 version for leveling up, MCC is completely different across all the games. Yes it might have been nice to added this in some way (maybe they can add a “Bonus XP” thing of sorts to all the games somehow in a different way in a future update).

I knew these were finally coming from the update preview news. Just quickly loaded up MCC to see if they have also been added as options in Custom Games as I have outlined above, and they have not. Don’t have time right now to check, but will be interesting to see if these Loadout options have also been properly implemented in Spartan Ops, finally fixing a legacy bug from the 360 version.

Just tried out Spartan Ops, and the added Loadout options do appear to work. I also just remembered one additional thing the 360 version let you do that MCC does not, which was the ability to change your loadouts mid match in the Start/Esc menu.

Yes Mid-Mission Loadout swapping is still a missing legacy feature along with Spartan Ops Matchmaking (and with Campaign Matchmaking for the other games) which both need to return to the game at this point.

iirc the problem with Campaign and SpOps matchmaking is Netcode related, so those might not come until they’re trying to implement Campaign Crossplay.
