Hey, I’ve recently noticed that Halo 4 has been acting up when I start up the game. First off, it’ll spend around 3-5 minutes checking for downloadable content (now, I’m not one to complain but that seems like a very long time). I have all the DLC so I can understand this taking a little while, but is it supposed t be taking this long? I should also note that, if I am in a party when this DLC search is happening, I will be kicked out of said party.
Anyway, after it’s done searching for DLC it’ll ask me to choose Hard Drive or Cloud, something that it never used to do. I choose hard drive and then, after checking for DLC AGAIN for around 20 seconds, the game will finally load. What worries me is that, by default my network will be set to ‘My Xbox 360’ rather than ‘Xbox Live’. I have to switch it back to Xbox Live before I can match-make, join my friends, etc…
I’ve also been having strange occurrences with matchmaking too. For example; just before posting this I was playing in BTB with my friend. The search was relatively fast, we found all the players and voted for a map. Then, just as the countdown started, I was suddenly on my own with no other players and being asked to vote again. I am then backed out to the start screen (not the main menu, the ‘press start’ one).
This has been happening for several months (except for the matchmaking trouble), but I haven’t taken great notice of it until today.
Can anyone give me any kind of idea as to what is happening here, and how I may be able to fix/minimize the problem?
