Hey everyone I’m sure what I’m about to say has been said at somepoint but I couldn’t find a post about it. But regarding sprint some people are kind of on the fence about it, a lot seem to love it, a lot seem to hate it. I was actually just thinking about my position on sprint and I realize I’m very in between on it because I love sprint I think it should stay! But I love maps like say heretic where sprint would destroy that maps design. I love sprint and I love classic halo jogging and the jogging is more than enough to scale that map. So the thought occurred to me how about instead of having one or the other why not for H5 just have both…BUT leave sprint for certain playlists. So say you have sprint in big team battle and have classic for ts, objective and so on you get my point. Because honestly I thought of this from a halo 1 2 and 3 standpoint. I love all the halo games i just do there is no bad halo game to me but I didn’t just look at H4 maps I looked at past Halo games so I started to think okay how much better would it have been if on sidewinder or sandtrap if you could have a sprint? It would be REALLY useful and make those big maps even smoother. I was playing ce the other day and I thought about it like man these matches on bigger maps take forever I think that’s honestly the best solution to our sprint love hate thing. Because even if you don’t like sprint you could atleast understand it on bigger maps then we could still have classic map sizes like midship, beaver creek and so on and it wont ruin the flow because no sprint on smaller maps. But let me know what you guys think about that? Also no mobility on big maps I’m talking a regular no upgrade sprint and obviously a toggle option for customs.

Sorry, I did the same thing once I posted it. It looks different when I’m writing it.
I would rather see a gametype option that toggles the sprint ability so as to make classic gameplay easier.
I’m actually strongly FOR having sprint all the time, but I also understand the value in having things work differently for map design purposes.
I’ll agree, smaller maps don’t need players running really fast, but if built wisely they can make sprinting a rather hazardous move as opposed to pacing your movements.
Want a classic-style slayer gametype with sprint + instant respawn disabled?

You’re welcome.
No…but thanks I’m talking about matchmaking.
