Thanks for letting me know there was a confirmation of no flood in Halo 4. But they were created by the Runners. Meaning they will probably serve like sentinels.
if thats what precursors will look like, note I am not hating, then I can see how the Forerunners beat them.
However, they could just be alien species native to the shield world, everyone assumes they are going to be “THE” enemy, but they might just be like the gueta.

Thats not what precursors look like.
We have never seen a precursor.
Its speculated forunners used a device called the oragon to destroy the precursors.
Cryptum describes what precursors look like and its nothing like that.
