Halo 4 Spinoff Idea

So last night I was just watching the Spartan Op videos, and noticed how all of Majestic squad had different specialization armor. They each must have had their special abilities and such when they were in combat. I thought hey… you know what would be cool? If 343 made a Halo 4 Spinoff game where it was based on the Specializations you can enlist in on multiplayer when you rank up to 50!

Here’s the gist of my idea:

The story could be some big operation a spartan squad is investigating on some planet that is occupied by covenant, maybe something that has to do with Halo 5’s story. When you start the game up, you have to play through 8 different stories based on the Specializations. Each story has to do with the big operation, and every specialization has a big role in this operation, but none of the Specilized Spartans ever meet, or maybe they do who knows.

The 8 Specializations could each have a special ability to use with their armor like special tracking HUD, scent finder, or an ability that is not regularly used in Matchmaking. Each different story in this huge operation, so here’s my idea of how they each could be implimented in the story:

Wetwork-Could be the assassin in eliminating a high profile covenant leader in story

Operator-Could be a part of a large assault, driving heavy vehicles

Pioneer-Could be the security to scientists, escorting them or just standing guard, but later the story could take a turn for the worst when scientists are invaded.

Pathfinder-(Not sure exactly what this armor is supposed to be used for, if you’s can give suggestions) This could be a part of the story where you have to find out where the enemy is coming from, or use clues to search for an enemy base.

Engineer-Could be in a squad of spartans, helping repair badly damaged vehicles, operating turrets or large mac guns, dealing with heavy weaponry

Stalker-Could be leading a stealth operation into an enemy base, then steals active camo to continue mission.

Rogue-Rogue could get stranded somewhere after a crash, and has to help regroup with partners, then makes a discovery by accident or so.

Tracker-Has to track down the high profile covenant leader, following them for very long time.

I’m not some script writer, these are just some ideas that I had about a Halo 4 spinoff that i thought would be very cool to see, sort of like Halo 3: ODST. What do you guys think of this? Any comments, thoughts, or ideas? Let me know what you guys think, thanks!
Also, PLEASE no negative people, this is just purely for the sake of positive Halo conversation!

Could be kind of cool. I could see sort of missions structured around these kinds of things in spartan ops too.

At this point, I don’t really mind a spin off.

New surprise content and no expectations for it, I’ll be very receptive for once.

SO is dead to me and I haven’t replayed 3/4 of the Campaign.

Well I don’t think a spin off would hurt guys, it’s just more Halo content.

…not a bad idea OP. Instantly my head jumps to halo wars when I hear spinoff, but that’s me. It’s a good idea.

Well I like the concept behind the scientist the thing is with Rogue they are behind enemy lines for years and months at a time which is why they give you that carbine. I guess the story with them could be that they are deep in enemy territory and has to sabotage their facility.

Yeah kind of like a huge story that every specialization has a part in!

Quite the opposite…doubt 343 would recycle what bungie did…they would make their own spinoff.

For spin offs, I would rather see more stories about ODST damn it. ODST was the best campaign in Halo, period.

I always wondered what multiplayer would have been like in ODST. No shields and health that was balanced for that of course.

True. Although, if 343 did make a spin-off, i only hope it resembles ODST, in this case let us use our spartans from SpOps, and have them drop to New Phoenix and we would not only have the option to play as our own spartans, but we could play as the members of majestic. Like, our spartan drops and wakes up in the middle of the night in the ruins of New Phoenix, then investigates to find Fireteam Majestic and we would work our way as playing as all 5 members. Wouldn’t that be something?

True…we all already know how 343 thinks…but i hate to say i agree, but your right about that. But, it would be cool if their were a spinoff with just your spartan, that had a similar story to ODST. I believe it was my second post with the idea.

This is a great idea! However, if there are going to be different story lines for each one, they should make it to where each one is at the same time lines. (I.E. the
accidental discovery on the Rouge story can lead off of why the scientists the Pioneer soldier is guarding is getting attacked.)

Yeah, that’s what I mean, it would be your spartan with your own colors and such.
