I just hit SR 70 a couple days ago and found out that I needed to buy the limited edition to get these extra specializations. I also saw that you can post on the forum for a code if you played the game before the 20th (I played on the 23rd). I find this quite disappointing that they only released specialization classes for the limted edition pack. I really enjoyed my time playing Halo 4 tell SR 70 but there is no motivation or reason to play the game now. What kept me playing Halo 2 and 3 were the skill based ranking system. With halo 4 the only real motive was to reach that high SR rating for me (since theres no skill based ranking system YET) I really do hope they fix the specializations in a patch or update in the near future.
P.S. Make the skill based rating visible in game not only on way-point.

While I don’t care if the skill system is visible in game or not I can completely agree as to why is should be visible in game. It gave the player something to strive for, a sense of self-accomplishment if you will.
This whole specialization’s thing was handled poorly. Why didn’t they just update the game instead of sending out codes?
Making the ranking system only visible on Waypoint would be disastrous.
I assume they’re bringing the other Specialisations out fairly soon… though I can’t say for sure, obviously.
Releasing them any later than it’s possible to do so is not a good idea. The restricted Specialisations, daily cap and lack of a skill-based ranking system really punished this game straight off the line, unfortunately.

Skill Rank -is- waypoint only.

The LE holders and people that played before the 20th get early access. It will bu unlocked for everyone at some point in the future. Probably early 2013 when the other updates come out. Yes it’s dumb. Yes I want ranked playlists with a visible rank in game. Probably won’t get it but whatever. No use crying over spilled milk.
