Hello everyone i made a few search about Specialization release date for standard edition player like me, because i reached level 70 and i can’t level up anymore and this isn’t cool…
Some people said that if you play during november 20, you will receive a code by email on november 30, wich will give you access to all other specialization.
Is that true ? And to receive that code, Are we suposed to be suscribed to something ? like… the newsletter ?
microsoft will send it, should be sometime this week ive been stuck at 70 for a week now, and am mad, just because i didn’t have enough for the special i HAVE to pay the penalty
From what I understand if you played before nov. 20th you would receive an email on or around Dec. 1st giving you a code for the specializations.
The email will be sent to the email linked to your xbox live account, i think you only have had to play halo 4 before nov. 20th to recieve the email, you don’t have to be subscribed to anything.
> what is, when i didnt play on 20th november. will i dont getthe code?
If you didn’t play before the 20th, 343 said that they would be releasing other specs over time. My problem with this is that I don’t feel that 343 is keeping us as current on this as they could be.
I have never heard of a code. I have the limited edition so I have access to all of the specializations. I thought for standard players that as long as you reached SR50 before November 20th, then you could pick from all the specializations. Then after November 20th they would disappear leaving you the original two and any that you earned.

I did reach 50 before the 20, and i checked so many time during the 20, if i had some new specialization and the answer is : no
But i still prefer the code to unlock them all … Well i guess we’ll have to wait.
If you’re in the chosen countries (which pretty much means you’re not in Europe like me…), if you played before the 20th you will get a code via email by the 1st of December.
If you’re in Europe, you’ll get them when they meet certain targets, which if the community keeps quitting at the rate it says it will they’ll never reach.
I’m hoping they’re sane enough to, at worst, release them 2 at a time alongside map packs.
something tells me this may be a short lived halo experience for most people, and will alienate both fans of the game as well new players. EVERYONE should get the full game that they paid for
they really should not screw with consumers, without us they do not have paychecks… with call of duty it does not matter if they ever make another halo if this is how they treat people… I would never pay full price for halo if its only half a game. others ofter so many more options to continue with the online experience, done at sr70??? really, get these things released so people can enjoy their purchase instead of being frustrated that they did not wait a week for call of duty’s release

This was probably their biggest mistake: prevent their biggest fans from leveling up when there is a fun FPS that just came out. Once you’re done leveling in that other game, they let you do it 10 more times.
their biggest mistake is not letting people enjoy the game at their own pace, some take their time, some like me play a lot and do not see why my progress should be limited? Is there a method to this madness? will i want to thank them later for stunting my progress?
what’s even worse is that each location only got so many LE’s. i went to three local stores three days before the release and every one laughed when i asked if i could reserve a LE.
thank you. that is quite settling. but why not now?
though it just seems stupid to alienate fans from playing a game they have been following for a decade…
I do not think they understand from a consumers point of view how upsetting the whole ordeal is… ripping millions of people off does not bode well with public opinion. give us our game!
It’s not like the game is unplayable without early access to the specializations. LE consumers get it earlier than everyone else. Standard edition consumers who bought the game close to launch get it earlier than everyone except LE consumers. Everyone else will just have to wait. 343 obviously did this to encourage people to buy at launch so that their sales numbers look good. Can’t say I blame them, and it appears to have worked well.
That being said, I’m not sure why 343 is going through this systematic release of content. Particularly, all 5 Spartan Ops episodes could very likely have been available from day 1. That conversation is probably for another thread, though.
Well maybe I am one of the few people who judges a game based on how fun it is rather than how many times i’m allowed to repetitively level up. Wanting the remaining specializations for gameplay purposes is a legitimate grievance, but saying the competition could be better because it lets you start from scratch again is off the point.
If you want a specialization code so bad go buy one in ebay they have them for less than $10. Otherwise, stop crying they said they will start e-mailing the codes starting Dec. 1
i read on the examiner.com that it most likely will be oN dec1st. they will email the code using the email that you used to sign up to Xbox live…Heres the article below:
The Halo 4 promotion that earned early access to all of the multiplayer Specializations if you played the Xbox 360 game by Tuesday, Nov. 20 has obviously ended. This leaves fans of the shooter wondering when will they get access. We can confirm that you’ll have to wait until Dec. 1.
“Codes will be delivered to the email address associated with your gamertag by December 1,” 343 Industries community manager Jessica Shea explained to a fan on Twitter.
This date is slightly off from the fine print that was included in the email announcing that everyone who played Halo 4 at launch would gain access to the Specializations.
“A download code will be sent to the email address associated with your Xbox LIVE account by November 30, 2012,” the message read.
For those that don’t know, Specializations are additional sets of armors and abilities that can be attained after reaching Service Rank 50 in multiplayer. Each Specialization adds another 10 ranks for players to achieve.
The initial plan was for only those that purchased the Halo 4 Limited Edition to have access to all eight Specializations. Everyone else was to to only have access to two initially with the rest to be rolled out over a span of weeks.
I agree with most things I’ve read on here I pre ordered normal like a lot of people & have put in days worth of play time, being stuck at 70 is like teasing the fans who actually love to play the game, but if they are sending codes like I’ve been hearing then I guess its fair, just like the special things you get for pre ordering it.
I Had Halo on release date and have been playing it ever since then, but ive been checking my email both general and xbox email and haven’t received my specialization’s code has anyone have this problem?
