Halo 4 specialization poll

Here’s a poll on how the specializations work, in which you’ll get to pick one at level 50, the level cap on halo 4 being 130, so choose wisely new gamers!I’ll break them down into the important parts!

Pioneer-Level up mod(double xp, but slightly less gain)Longer sprint. Good for all around players.

Engineer-Knows when ALL ordinance drops when they are first requested. Good for crafty and strategic players.

Stalker-After you die, creates a marker on the enemy’s head. BUT; The enemy team will be notified from this, can cause bating.

Rogue- Cannot get scoped out when shot while using DMRs, BRs, Snipers, Carbines, and other etc. weapons with a legitimate scope. Good for snipers.

Wetworks- 45% less detectable when sprinting, Show up as an outline when seen with promethean vision (very useful according to my observation of seeing a wetworks player with this “outline”

Operator- Less recharge time for your vehicle when paralyzed, with Grenade launchers, plasma pistols, and the Promethean pistol(not actual trademark name, just named by the look and gameplay of it.) 10% Stronger when in a vehicle(harder to kill) Cannot be stacked up with other players, it will act as if one player had it.

Pathfinder- Move faster with turrets, less overheating time with them, and a slight buff in damage with them (may be incorrect (last part) )

Tracker- “Roll the Dice technique” On an ordinance drop, can deny the weapon, extra grenade or armor ability, and take your chances on getting what has been confirmed a vehicle (if on the appropriate map, or a powerup)

Which will you choose? I am going to pick rogue, so for all ya’ll who wanted to know.

Wetwork for sure. I love being sneaky and assassinating. Pretty nice sum up to btw.

wetworks >:D

Wet work definitely

The reason for me picking rogue would be I’m an ALL AROUND sniper, I’m good with everything, I’d say. But I LOVE sniping, I could pick 2 people off with the same bullet turn around, jump, 360, and POW RIGHT IN’DNA KISSA! Haha, but not getting scoped out helps, I would also pick Wetworks, not pioneer, for the reason of the level cap being 130. And I would also inquire, Wetworks choosers FASTER assassinations, will still be tremendous looking, but will make you less frail when performing them, this being a problem in Halo:Reach.

For extra clarification: “Each specialization offers a unique 10 levels of unlocks, the first 9 levels unlocking different permutations including armor, weapon skins, emblems, visors, and eventually, at the 10th level, a unique game changing perk.”

Pulled from Rank (Halo 4) | Halo Alpha | Fandom.

EDIT: “For Fast Track, you only get extra XP for the amount of time you were using it. Activating it at the end of a match isn’t going to net you extra XP for actions earlier in the match.” You can use Pioneer to level up other perks.

Also, only Pioneer and Wetworks are available for people without Limited Edition Halo 4. You cannot do the other 6 until November 20th, assuming you’ve been on Halo 4 before or on that date.

I kinda don’t care for any of them so ill just grab pioneer to get the last 7 quicker.

And doesnt it replace your tactical package/weapon mod ?

@RevisedBoomer, We’re talking about statistics, not appearance from armor and emblems.

Guys, reminder, level cap 130. 2 specs.

It’s a free for all tossup between Wetwork, Rogue, and Pathfinder for me.

But the majesty of the Rogue shoulders are slowly winning.

> @RevisedBoomer, We’re talking about statistics, not appearance from armor and emblems.

EDIT: I feel stupid. As someone pointed out later in the thread, you can indeed use Pioneer to aid in getting other perks. You just can’t use any other perks during this time, and switching to Pioneer at the end doesn’t give you the bonus. You must have it on during the time of acquiring the exp.

Anyway, on topic. Since you can use pioneer to get the other 7 faster, I will probably be using that. I’m assuming that it stacks with double xp from dewxp.com, so that daily cap will be hit extremely fast in the next couple of days :P.

BTW, good job on explaining what each would be used for. They seem pretty accurate.

@RevisedBoomer, Oh I see, thank you, I have a lack for inquiring more IMPORTANT info…

Thanks for all the detailed info.

Wetworks will make it interesting.

> I realize this, but I was just trying to prevent people from thinking they could use Pioneer to get the others (someone even posted that they would try this). I also wanted to show the actual point of using the double exp. You get the appearances quicker.

You aren’t making any sense… What are you trying to say? The specializations give you armor mods which can be used at any time once unlocked. So you CAN use pioneer to level the rest up faster.

Whats the point in Rogue if the effect is default? Unless it now removes knock back and/or flinch.

^From my knowledge It will completely obliterate flinching.

Tracker,it sounds so broken to me, “oh I didnt get an incineration cannon? re-roll yayyyyyyy” how did this slip through the ‘will be abused’ net at 343i

Looks like I embarrassed myself. It’s not that I wasn’t making sense, it’s that I interpreted the information on wiki wrong. I had thought that when you chose to level a spec, that you were locked into that one until you maxed it out. Thanks for clearing this up and I’ve edited my previous posts.

How is it abusive? It just increases your chances of getting something good.

Oh… Alright that makes more sense. And np.
