y do we all have to wait for an email about something that should automatically update in the game. we pay how much money to be level locked for no reason. its bad enough this game is halo of duty or call of halo. please anyone respond who believes that all these problems should have been figured out before we all wasted so much time and money on this beta version of game.

I agree wholeheartedly. I got doubly screwed cause the contact email on xbox was an old one that I no longer have access to and apparently it probably got sent there and they have no way off helping me. -Yoink!- em, if I dont get the code I
m just gonna stop playing cause its frustrating not to have access to the whole game. If I knew i couldn’t play the whole game when I was preordering it, I wouldn’t have bought the game at all. This is nuts…

I’m in the same boat and have been rank locked for weeks. 343 does not want me to play their game apparently.

Yea, do what they want. That’s what I plan on doing. Whats the point of playing a game that taunts you with stuff you can never have? Call me when I can be any spec i want. i wish they’d advertised that we had access to 1/4 of the game before i bought the stinking thing
I’m reading these posts and all I see are stupid comments made by ignorant people. If you think 343i is such trash, why do you play the game then?
They spend years making Halo 4 for the fans, and did a hell of a job too, and you’re complaining that they sent the emails for a minor thing in game a few days late?
Please quit this game, we don’t need people like you playing it.

Well, it’s not a minor thing, it’s 3/4 of the multiplayer ranking progress, as well as game changing perks that actually provide distinct advantages over others. Things that shouldn’t have been exclusive to those who paid extra in the first place. So yes, we are kind of pissed that this is still late and we’re not even receiving any word on it.
Now I love the game, it has one of the best campaigns I’ve ever played, and its multiplayer is a lot of fun, and I can’t really complain about that. But the way specializations are being handled is ridiculous, and we have every right to be disappointed.
343i is already running for the hills, millions in revenue in tow. They do not care about your problems, regardless of whether they are game-breaking, annoying, or just plain wrong. So, yes, you may as well stop complaining.
The 343i apologists are wrong because:
343i is already running for the hills, millions in revenue in tow. It’s obvious that the game has far less polish than we expect from Bungie, but 343i does not care. Do you REALLY think that sending specializations via e-mail is a well thought out method? Or, is it a half-baked idea that resulted from the fact they didn’t have enough time to integrate it into the game or deliver it through some other more appropriate method on XBOX LIVE.
Who would even defend 343i on this!!! I’m sure even 343i knows it’s -Yoinked!-.
While some of them are “stupid comments”, there are also some very valid points. I fail to understand why they :
A: Didn’t do this sooner - there are plenty of people who have been level-capped for weeks.
B: Didn’t do this via update - releasing via email is overly complicated, and makes it more likely that something will go wrong. And it clearly has.
C: Didn’t ensure the email was recognizable - “A gift from xbox live” doesn’t tell you much. It doesn’t even tell you what it is until after it’s been redeemed.
D: Haven’t made an official statement, given the problems that everyone has been having. Some people haven’t gotten a code, some people have gotten the wrong code, and some people have codes but still can’t use them.
Yeah, doing this through email was not the smartest idea. They should’ve just added it to the game and be available after the date was met…that would have obviously easier and a lot less furious people.
Of course they made if for profit, you can make profit off of fan service, as for the codes i havent gotten mine yet and im not -Yoink!- on everybody about it…it’l get their when it gets their either way
and secondly, i believe you people who hit the cap have missed the point of the game completley it was to HAVE FUN you know leveling up is just a small part of that fun, soooo yea. go outside and do somthing ive had it since the 11th and im only sr 37 so stop complaining its not helping your cause
