We have to take into consideration that 1. They just finished season 1 2. It took them ages to do season 1 3. They need to create new story and environments.
As much as I want it we need to wait (until then I’m playing SpOps season 1, campaigns, ODST Firefight)
They said in a Bulletin about a month or so ago that a Season 2 of Spartan Ops is not in the works.
I wouldn’t expect that to change either.
Yeah, it is probably too late now, though I would like one.
I guess Halo 4 is really done as far as content is concerned. I’m assuming they put the maps out so quickly because the next console is right around the corner.

They also said that the story of Crimson was not done; I’m not even sure they actually said that Season 2 was not in the works either.

“There is no “Season 2” of Spartan Ops scheduled at the moment, but rest assured the story of Crimson, the Infinity and those characters and events is far from over.”
Think about it from a logical standpoint, the game has dwindled down to 30,000 players at peak times. Season 2 isn’t going to make them any money if they don’t charge for it. If they charge for it then they will make less money than they would if they waited for Halo 5 and continued to events, story in that game instead.

Then they should have never named it Spartan Ops “season 1”. Should have named it simply spartan ops. That’s like if the movie kill bill volume 1 had no sequal. Dumb.

See, that wouldn’t bother me at all. But they named it Season 1, which sort of implies a Season 2.
Oh, and it also makes one large chunk of the game useless. Once a person completes the actual story they can only play it for so long before getting bored.
If they had no intentions of continuing the story then they shouldn’t have called it Season 1.

They said (possibly before launch) that Spartan Ops & Season 1 was an experiment for the sort of experience it offers. The success of Season 1 would depend entirely on if a Season 2 would exist.
Besides, who’s saying that Season 2 has to continue in Halo 4, we could certainly have Season in a future Halo game for example.
Because Season implies “Seasonal”
Not Bi-yearly.
