Halo 4 Spartan Ops Characters Are Annoying

Ever since the first episode, I can’t help but to find nearly all of the characters in Spartan Ops extremely annoying. Before Spartan Ops, I found all the Halo characters I knew about extremely awesome and had a great role to play in the universe. In Spartan Ops, the A.I. Roland, Fireteam Majestic, and even that scientist guy really annoy me.

Here is why I don’t like them. Roland is just annoying, flat, and uncool. Nowhere near as cool as Cortana. Fireteam Majestic is like the team from Brink. Even though Majestic is featured in the cutscenes, we don’t play as them or encounter them in-game. They’re also not in any books or other form of Halo media yet. None of the members of Majestic is given proper development and we’re never given a reason to care for them. I can’t relate to any of the Majestic members, either. Paul Demarco is very lame and the rest of team are just flat-out annoying and I hate how they’re such a crappy team yet they think they’re so superior to everyone else, including the Spartan II’s. Gabriel Thorne isn’t much of a bad character, however. The scientist guy just reminds me of one of my schoolmates a few years back. Selfish, ignorant, obsessed with science, with glasses and a very irritating voice, always getting into trouble.

I only watch the cutscenes because of Lasky, Halsey, and Palmer. I am really enjoying Spartan Ops except the whole “story” aspect of it. Halo: Reach made me feel like my own Spartan. In Halo 4, Spartan Ops presents me with characters I don’t see, know, or care much about. I was really hoping for Spartan Ops to make me feel as if I was actually “in” the game. Instead, I get put in as an invisible member of Fireteam Majestic when I don’t want to be part of that really dull, lame so-called fireteam.

How do you guys feel?

You’re not part of Majestic at all. You’re part of Crimson.

I also don’t really like the fact that we never interact with Majestic, it disconnects us from their characters. Personally I am just waiting for them to show Eddie Buck in spartan ops. That, or Master Chief.

Spartan Ops has terrible character development compared to Campaign. I don’t see why they couldn’t make the Majestic team cool like ODST team (from Halo 3 ODST) or make them cool like Nobel Team (from Halo Reach). Majestic team is unprofessional, cocky, and not worthy of the title Spartan. Plus the characters are extreemly uninteresting, unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable.

If a line like “Hey Eggheads, don’t relax yet” I will assume Miller has had an annoying offspring that has rapid growth problems with Palmer and get into position for an elegant rage-quit.

Well, i have to agree, however, the only one that sounds cool, and has in fact made the missions fun is AI. Roland. He may not be like Cortana, but he does keep the missions pretty Interesting. I rather have him do the talking than the Spartans, specifically Palmer.

Palmer - She truly annoys me with her, “Eggheads, Hingeheads, Geeks, etc.”, just hearing that drives me insane.

Millar - too much, “I’m working on it or there we go”, that has to go.

Dalton - “You got it, Commander.” that’s like, you want to say one of those, “shut up the hell up Dalton and send the “toys” down already,”. If you know what i mean.

I’m saying that b/c its seems, they are repeating the same lines over, and over, and over again. With the 3 combined, it drives me crazy when they constantly say, “Crimson do this, Crimson do that…etc”. ugh.

Anywho, I think Roland is the only one i like in SpOps.

You know, i rather take an ODST team. They did a lot on Installation 04 in FF on Reach. lol, i used to nail flawless victories on that map.
