I was really impressed about the Spartans movement animations. Forward, Backwards, side to side - it was perfectly executed. In the stills they had in the ViDoc you could tell what all the Spartans were doing (direction, speed etc.) b/c of their lean, feet direction, etc. It’s especially amazing when they are moving diagonally.
I’ve never seen a game with even close to this level of reality in character movements.
Seemed to me like it was the same as Reach, motion capture… matter of fact the sprint looked exactly the same… had the same rhythm from left to right foot and everything.

The 3rd person pics and clips it was obvious that it is upgraded. Reach didn’t have as good of a body lean or as good of leg and waist direction with diagonal movement. And all of it was smoother than Reach.
Don’t get me wrong, reach was good but not nearly as refined and perfected.

Oh so there’s like no legs going into the Spartans’ waste and stuff?
I too was pleasantly surprised to see such nice and refined Mo-Caping. Plus now when you straif right to left you no longer magically ice glide across the surface. Nice.

Never seen battlefield 3? But seriously, The only animations shown were very much the same as reach. I noticed no difference.
Definately sure it is better than Reach’s because first of all it is newer with better technology.
