I want to use the To Galaxy remix by Sander Van Doorn and Julian Jordan on a video for a Halo 4 railgun montage. My question is how can i use this song as the soundtrack without getting copyrighted. Please help and thank you
Also sorry if this is not in the right place
Just put down the original artist’s name on the video. When ever you are using someone elses work, just put down the original artists, author, director, writer, etc.

I heard this can also get you copyrighted. Is this true?

No. Basically what you are doing is putting down the original creator, stating that the copyrighted item, song, etc. does not belong to you. I do that for all my halo clips and youtube understands.
I have a vid that uses the H4 soundtrack. YouTube will most likely recognize it and then make you acknowledge copyright. After that a link to original piece will be put there and they won’t bother you anymore.

I concur, but sometimes they like to be a bunch of jerks and mute the video. Happened to me one time, even when i stated that the music doesn’t belong to me. They tend to be sneaky.

Agreed. They once tore down my video of a clip from Reach on a CTF fail on the Anniversary map pack. had about 200-300 views. Claimed it was copyright and that apparently there is absolutely no other Halo content on YouTube. Oh well, got lucky this time around because I put my effort into this one.

So what exactly do we put in the description?
> So what exactly do we put in the description?
Artist name, soundtrack, studio, etc.
Also using the “fair use” paragraph will make sure a YouTube employee understands the terms which the video was created for.

as long it doesn’t make money off the soundtrack.
