Well I just purchased the Halo 4 Soundtrack today and I absolutely love it! My favorite tracks so far are Legacy, Revival, 117, and To Galaxy. I feel like this soundtrack is amazing and the new composer (whose name alludes me at the moment) did an amazing job on it! To any of you who have doubts about the soundtrack, I highly suggest you preview them. I for one think they are masterpieces.
I’d like to give my thoughts on the OST, but the thing is, I have quite the ear -Yoink!- that won’t go away, and it’s kinda messing with my brain at the moment.

Love it! Its it’s own thing while at the same time evoking emotion just like the older Halo soundtracks can’t wait to see the events the tracks where written for.
I think it’s worth noting that not everything in the game is on the soundtrack. Believe me when I say that there are more nods to the original Halo score in the game itself than what the OST would imply.
Having said that, I think the new score is phenomenal. Definitely different, but in my opinion it’s good that it’s different. Marty’s themes will always have a special place in my heart, but having listened to the entire OST for Halo 4, I doubt I’ll miss him for very long. Call me blasphemous, but I think this is one of the best soundtracks I’ve yet heard in the franchise.
Man, Green and Blue made me feel kinda sad, and thinking of the name, Green and Blue Green meaning Chief and Blue Cortana…OMG Please don’t be something bad in the game.
