Yup.
The Halo 4 Soundtrack is just one of all soundtracks I’ve purchased this year in which the soundtrack DOESN’T include ALL of the music from the game. I bought the soundtrack to listen to the music, not just the “key themes”. This outrages me and I’m very disappointed. Where’s the rest of the music that I PAID FOR? Are there any plans for an EXTENDED/COMPLETE soundtrack?
I feel skimped, ripped off and barren.
I know. There were a lot of epic pieces in game just not on OST.
The Halo 2 soundtrack came in 2 Volumes, it’s not that serious.
If a second volume does release, it’ll probably have the Forward Unto Dawn music included.
Isn’t the OST like $8.99 on iTunes? That probably should have raised a flag that it wasn’t every piece of music in the game. It would have been a bit more expensive.
As far as I know, no information has been released regarding an extended version.
Soundtracks and Scores are very different things.
A Soundtrack contains all the important music for each event that happens in the game, such as 117 and Revival.
Scores contain all the music that is played in-game.
You purchased a Soundtrack, not a score.

While I understand there is a difference, not all game soundtracks/scores are labeled to differentiate between the two. For example, Batman Arkham City has a soundtrack and a score. Both are labeled as such. However, Halo 3 is labeled as a soundtrack yet seems to have all the in-game music. A more recent example, the Black Ops 2 soundtrack contains all 49 in-game tracks yet is not labeled as a score.
Based on those examples, many of us were fully expecting the Halo 4 soundtrack to have ALL of the in-game music. Please understand that this is especially true for those of us who purchased the (very costly) special limited edition of the soundtrack. I thought the remix album was a bonus in addition to what I thought was the full soundtrack/score. If I had known we weren’t getting all of the in-game music I would have just waited to pay the $8 or so on iTunes.
And please do not reference the Halo 2 volumes. When volume 1 came out, it was at least labeled that way and consumers knew to expect a volume 2. I do not believe the use of two volumes for Halo 2 is an acceptable reason for the Halo 4 soundtrack to not contain all of the in-game music.
To you who are ok with how the Halo 4 soundtrack was handled, wouldn’t you have wanted the entire “score” to have been released on the disc? If you have heard the amazing end credits song and searched the soundtrack franticly for it to no avail, would you not be upset as well?

Just thought I’d let you all know. I just got my copy of the limited edition H4 OST in the mail. On the back, for the track listing, it lists is as Vol 1 and there is no Vol 2 anywhere, so it’s not like Disc = volume. So I’d be looking out for Vol 2 just like H2
There is a Halo 4 V2 OST coming out
