Halo 4 Skin Designer

I posted this in a different topic and wondered if anyone else would be interested in this. How about a Halo 4 skin designer on Halo Waypoint? It could even be implemented into the game and operate like the emblem customization menu on Halo: Reach.

To be honest, the aesthetic aspects of Halo are pretty much as good as they could be for me. I already think some of the new skins look pretty ridiculous, I can’t imagine some of the ones I would have to play against if we let everyone else design their own

Would be neat, but they would probably limit it quite a bit as they wouldn’t want people recreating the exclusive skins etc.

I already hate the skins, people walking around with coloured weapons and weird designs on their armor. Makes the game look less serious…

EDIT: Now I’ve seen some of them in Halo 4 I don’t think they’re too bad, it’s actually the first game where the skins are pretty need. The Armor skin just changes the secondary colours I guess and that’s alright. And I do like the simple but still nice design of the DMR, Covenant Carbine and Battle Rifle. I just hope there won’t be any fully bright coloured weapons.

This would work best on weapon skins mainly due to the fact it will not be too noticeable for other players.

Less serious than people with floating hearts and flaming heads? Or less serious than the people who make their emblems look like -Yoink!-, toilet bowls, male genitalia or pot leaves?

It could work, but I do fully trust 343i to make some awesome looking skins, so it’s not a feature I would be saddened about if it isn’t present.

This can be quickly fixed by restricting skins from certain playlists and/or game-types

Sounds like too much of a hassel. 343 should make the skins but give us an overwhelming number of choices.

I can understand what you mean, but the skins might get boring or maybe not enough will be in the game.Maybe more skins included in DLC could fix this.

It’s a cool idea, but i think we’ve learned from Black Ops how out of hand custom creations can get.

If there aren’t the items to go out of control, it works

Did I ever mention I thought the Armor Effects were a good idea? No, I thought that was obvious…

Armor effects are one of the dumbest thing put into Halo IMO. Floating hearts? Seriously, What guy at Bungie designed that?!

Point apparently flew right over your head.
Halo isn’t a serious game. Unless you missed the bright colors and smack talking midgets. And oddball. Or the seven foot tall brightly colored soldiers jumping eight feet high. Seriously, what aspect of Halo is meant to be taken seriously?

If you want a serious game, try GoW.

To tell the truth, no thanks.

Just give us a better way to customize our armor. THe skins are just taking a step to far. Rather than limiting our colour use and giving us skins, give us more colours and places to put them etc. to further differentiate our skins…

Seriously, I’m going to get annoyed when I walk around shooting spiderman every ten seconds because of a person using the spider skin with red and blue :stuck_out_tongue:

GoW a serious game? Try Arma or Battlefield and you might know what a serious game is.

Serious game? THAT’S AN OXYMORON!

No thanks, the bonus, and exclusive skins are provided as little extras for the fans and im sure there will be a few unlockable in the game as well. Leave player creations to their spartans, forge, and emblems, these are plenty to play around with. Lol, I dont think the skins will be that annoying, theyll be more realistic atleast some of them will, it will be fun to have them to tinker with atleast :).
