If you’ve seen seen the leaked cutscene you know that Master Chief and Cortana tell some CO of the Infinity that they need the ship because if whoever leaves Requiem, he’ll put our existence at risk. This seems somewhat like Prometheus for me when the main character Shaw tells the captain Janek and company woman Vickers that if they don’t stop the Engineer from leaving LV-223, there won’t be any home to go back to. Do some of you agree, but we all know that Infinity won’t get destroyed.
Both stories are similar. Space, an ancient alien race that play a hand in Human history? I would say there are many stories like that. Just happens that both are coming out around the same time. I actually thought that Prometheus was a bit too similar to the Halo franchise as a whole. But that’s like comparing Pocahantas to Dances with Wolves and Avatar.
And if I go any deeper Ill trow out a ton of spoilers for people…so Ill shut up.
they do seem very similar now that you mention it. however, Halo 4’s script I’m sure was done (or at least that part) before Prometheus was revealed. it seems more of a coincidence than actually taking/stealing/copying/whatever you wanna call it

I thought personally that prometheus sounded a lot like deadspace
I just watched Prometheus for the first time last week and I noticed right away the similarities of the two. In Prometheus they find out that the Engineers are basically human, albeit they are giant -Yoink- pure humans they still have the same DNA. Then you got Master Chief on the other hand who finds out that the Prometheans in Halo were Human before they got turned into AI constructs or whatever they are, you really can’t say that The Didact in Halo and the Engineer in Prometheus don’t a strike a very, very similar cord because they do. It could be a coincidence but the 2 seem to be telling the same story in different coats of paint. Hey who knows, maybe it turns out that Alien and Halo share universes. Maybe Engineers and Aliens are going to be in the next Halo game…Damn, that would be a dream come true…
