So first of all the Lockout remake that is currently in matchmaking is pretty sweet but…
Why the hell isnt shutout made on Impact?? Lockout from H2 was in space and making lockout on impact in Halo 4 would have been much better just because of the feeling and the surrounding around the map.
Also the kill zones suck on Shutout because when you try to jump from a lower deck and fall down and you want to safe with jetpack it doesnt have any chance because you die immediately! Please atleast fix this!
What do you guys think about this?
Correct me if I am wrong but was Lockout not just a Forerunner facility in some Icy place on a Halo ring?
TBH Impact is much darker than the Icy skies and surroundings of Lockout. No forge map will ever do a remake justice. It will never look nor feel the same. Just plays similar. I think it was built on Ravine because of that nice rock face. Most of the places you could potentially build on Impact are on more of an incline. I would much rather play on Ravine anyway. I got sick to death of all these Impact maps very quickly.
To your other point. I am assuming you are talking about jumping from the bridges between Library to BR tower? Either way the Halo 4 jet pack sucks and if you were moving at such a speed, chances are it would fail anyway. Its not really the maps fault but instead your Jet Pack skills. Not calling you bad :L
The only real problems I have with the v4 settings are that occasionally you spawn in a soft kill boundary at the bottom of Elbow. Also the jump up from Radio to BR 3 is rather time consuming. I also don’t like the Scatershot. I would much prefer having a Shotgun in its place. Apart from that Shutout is a pretty brilliant map with few flaws. That said it is incredibly overrated.

I don’t like the inconsistency of the Scattershot, but its range is a benefit over the shotgun’s because of the map’s longer-ranged engagements. I also feel like using the closer-ranged shotgun would make the sword redundant.
