Imagine if that was actually how reach ended. Would have ticked a lot of people off!

Erm, if that had happened, Reach would either have been non-canon, or the whole trilogy would have been non-canon.
Reach happens before Halo CE/Halo 1. If that ending had happened, it would have ticked off the whole Halo community. Not even Halo 1 could have happened.
So no, Halo 4 couldn’t have happened either.
So… the entire Halo trilogy it’s just a dream while Chief was in his last moments of life in cryo… sad.

Halo 4 was a survivors guilt induced frozen fever dream brought on in cryo-sleep while Chief was having his firmware upgrade by nanobots.

Your thread’s title and it’s content had almost nothing to do with each other.
If that’s what happened. Then none of the other Halo Games would’ve even existed. But they do, and it didn’t happen.
By the logic of that ending, the entire halo trilogy could have all just been in Noble 6’s head before he dies.
Haloception 0.o
That video commentating was horrible and very annoying.
That Easter egg if it is real is non canon.
No. Halo 4 did happen, as will Halo 5 and 6. Sorry to burst your bubble.
This means that the first three Halo games wouldn’t have happened either.
