Since Halo first came out, the game industry has changed a lot. You used to get everything on the disk, DLC was rare and always free.
Now the industry has taken a nose drive and Halo 4 should try and remain pure from this and I want to hghlight some thing s I NEVER want to see any halo game have.
DLC- I see people here already wanting 343i to make DLC, WHY? Why can’t we get everything on the disk. Look at games liek ME3 and GOW3. They both have disk locked content that is essential to or makes the game more fun. I think this is a completly unethical buisiness practice and I hope Halo 4 does not have Disk Locked Content or Day 1 DLC
Customization- Armor customization is fun when you earn it. Too many games today make you buy armor with actual money. NO, BAD! Armor should be unlocked by gameplay and experience, not your parent’'s credit card.
Pre-Order bonuses- I am 100% fine with them, as long as they are not sold or given out to a later date. Pre-Order bonuses are an incentive to buy from a certain store. Taking away that exclusivity is like a kick in the balls to us.
Perks/ (The C.O.D effect)- Halo is Halo, not cod, not BF3. I think Halo should avoid any major perks. What will happen is some high level player will always dominate weaker players. But since I don’t know what the perks are, I don’t have much of a comment.
Beta- Really think there shoudld of been a Beta, don’t want the servers to crash from 2 million people now do we?
Special editions- Would like to see them and make sure everything in them is actually “exclusive”. I don’t want to see LE contnet being sold on xbox live.
Be yourself- DON’T MAKE HALO SOMETHING HALO WAS NOT MEANT TO BE!
Thoser are a few things I have highlighted about Halo 4 that effect other video games and theindustry. The important thing is the keep halo like Halo and not another generic cod shooter or endless DLC contnet cutting game.

1.DLC is great and worth the money if done well, i’m sure H4 won’t have any kind of disc-locked content.
2.Lol, you actually think 343 will make there customers pay with ACTUAL MONEY for armor?
3.I don’t have anything to say about this.
4.Yeah, we don’t know how they will actually work and how they could affect gameplay, they will be balanced at least.
5.I agree with this, but just mostly for being able to play the game earlier.
6.Agreed.
7.“It feels 100% like Halo, without a shadow of doubt”
Writes badly worded topic, expects replies in 8 minutes.
I actually disagree with a lot of what you just said. DLC is fine, as long as it’s not overpriced and is integrated regularly into the game for those who want to pay for it. The 2nd point is irrelevant since 343i haven’t said anything about purchasable armour, and Halo has only ever had unlockable armour, no DLC armour. Preorder bonuses should be timed exclusives, since not everyone can afford to buy the game on day 1 no matter how much they want to. Perks can work quite easily, as already said by 343i and many people. Limited edition content, as far as I’m aware, has never been sold on XBL.
DLC for Halo 2 wasn’t originally free. I bought the multiplayer maps from Gamestop, they came on a disk.
I don’t think 343 will have people pay for armor, but since it could potentially effect gameplay, you never know.
There shouldn’t be pre-order bonuses unless there something like an art-book, or t-shirt.
Perks are not in the game, but gameplay effecting armor is. Take that as you will.
Beta doesn’t have anything to do with whether the game will crash on launch day. They are having a private in-house beta to look for bugs/glitches and exploits.
