It was by far one of the best thing’s about Halo 2. I really don’t understand why this would be taken out. Now it seems you can’t even talk to the other team during matches (or maybe at all for that matter). That was the whole fun of Halo… smack talking with the other team! Other than that, it also added a layer of strategy too because if the other team was close by talking you would know it… and pressing ‘up’ on the d-pad you could broadcast whatever your saying to your entire team regardless of where you are on the map…
I feel like this should be getting more attention on 343 should implement this feature into an update… Am I the only one who agrees with this?
Really? Ya know, it would help if people actually talked in that game. Whenever I find people in game chat, its only like 2. Everyone else is in a party or has no mike. That’s frankly where cod did it right, in my opinion. Infant voice required. No party.
Yeah, and how was it in Halo 3 again?
Wasn’t it like: if you wanted to talk to your whole team, you could press any button on the d-pad, but if you want people around you (teammates and enemies) you would talk normally?
Referring to PetLizard, you’re right, it isn’t set up to be social. The most social it gets is hearing the one or two people on your team who have mics giving their commentary on how they’re playing (swearing and giving little remarks). In these games like Halo and CoD, 99% of the time, you don’t need to hear or tend to care about what someone on your team is saying, because whether they’re on the other side of the map from you or one floor above you for instance, you unconsciously don’t listen to them.
If what I said in the top paragraph isn’t true, and I am believing so, either way I think it should be implemented.
