Halo 4 should have New forge maps with DLC's

Now I think this is just my opinion, but having a forge map every DLC would definitally make want to buy the DLC and without a doubt make me regain my interest again (that is if I lose interest, which I doubt I will). Now I know there are already 3 awesome forge maps, but lets get real, there are still SO many other enviroments we could see! A forest map where you could possibly place different trees and such. An island map like the island on Forge world in Halo Reach. A canyon map for those who want a large open enviroment for those huge builds. A desert enviroment where you can possibly make remakes of Sandtrap. A covenant pallet you could use to build things inside a covenant ship or base. An ice map like Avalanche where you can have a looping ice area or something like that. Point is, there are so many maps that would be amazing in different forge maps and if each DLC came with at least one forge map each, it would increase the quality of both the DLC and the game itself for me. I have always been a big forger and an even bigger custom gamer so having more forge maps would just be amazing! People saying they should have object change the texture, I say why if there is a map for every texture you can think of? Not only will it increase custom game quality, but Multiplayer quality as well! Forge maps can always be introduced into Multiplayer and the more forge maps available, the less stale forge maps become! Halo 3 did this with foundry and then completely overhauled that idea with Sandtrap and I think that was the best idea Bungie has ever come up with if you ask me. Adding Forge maps to their DLC’s was an amazing idea and actually encouraged me to buy the DLC while the Reach DLC’s did not really spark interest in me.

So let me know your thoughts, agree or disagree? Why or why not?

I dont agree. If I’m paying more money for multiplayer I wanna be able to play them right away… not wait for someone to forge a new one and prolly never see it in MP anyway. I want real maps with a good design and flow to them so no forge DLC unless they are free and arent part of the 3 packs I already paid for

A sand and a covie forge map would be pretty cool. But it would take a lot of work to get the palettes created. I think 2 more Forge maps out of the 3 map packs would be great, OR, make a forge map pack. Have 3. One big open flat-ish space, make it urban themed, not UNSC themed, but urban themed. Make a giant sand map. Just, sand everywhere, placeable mammoths, sandbox/sandtrap palette. And a Impact sized snow/ice/tundra map with a covie palette.

This would take a lot of work though, with each palette having to be created, and more scenary pieces added for each one. But not only would this make forgers happy, you can ship each map with it’s own default variant, like foundry, so it can be shuffled into matchmaking right away.

If you remember, Foundry, Sandtrap, and Forgeworld had default maps build into them. If they come out with a new forge map, I doubt they would leave it blank, they would have maps already made for the playing. And in my opinion, it is well worth the wait. The maps in foundry and sandtrap were amazing and a lot were incorperated into the multiplayer game. So having a short wait for some awesome maps and variety would be a major plus to the multiplayer community if you ask me.

I definitally agree, an urban enviroment like a city forge map would be amazing. Headlong has always been my favorite multiplayer map just because of its amazing urban envirment feel and the huge atmosphere it had and the virtical playstyle was incredibly fun. To have an urban/city forge map would be just the best map ever. And having a forge world map pack would be really great, having 3 forge maps bundled into one for those who enjoy forging, but the problem with that would be it would come out after all of the other map packs. It usually takes a month or two to release a map pack to it would take around 3 to 6 months (if not longer) just to get the forge map pack.

Bump for interesting topic that is not someone complaining.

I definitely agree. The maps already on the game are cool, but it would be nice to see different forge environments, and bigger forge maps, along with new items like trees, or maybe a forklift like in Halo 3 or Reach

Dude, paragraphs…

LIKE, LIKE, LIKE!!! 1 Forge map per DLC sounds like a perfect idea and would keep me and tons of other people I know playing Halo 4 alot longer and make us way more hyped for the next DLC to be released. “The Forge is strong with this one indeed…”
