Halo 4 should be scary(er)

The halo series has been fun with the flood but they should make it scary(er)
like a surpris attacks or a really loud noise, from the new enemy if there is one i dont know just yet.

If there is a new enemy in the Reclaimer trilogy, it’d most likely be something like the Precursor(s). So yes, I do believe there should be tension in Halo 4 when it comes to the Precursor(s). Like 343 Guilty Spark in Halo: CE.

I do agree with you, I once felt a bit of fear forging ahead in Halo 1 back when I didn’t know what to expect from the Covenant. Even the flood has lost any effect on me at this point though. I think Halo 4 would be a great opportunity to bring in the unknown and unexpected though.

Halo 4 might be scary, but nothing will be scarier than that moment where Yamjuice threw a bin at Quinn and he merely chuckled in response.

I’m thinking both. I loved the surprise of the flood in CE. But I also loved the silent, creepy, night feel that ODST gave. I enjoy night levels.

Agreed. Theres nothing like playing against the flood in Halo:CE and Halo 2!!! They need to bring that feeling of unknown back.

Yes, I agree completely with bringing back that feeling of the unknown. but not making it scary.

tension = yes. fear = no.

I like the feeling of the unknown, which can induce fear, and I think that’s what they will do, but as far as Halo 4 trying to constantly scare you every moment, I don’t think that’s the route they should take.

What could be more scarier than this (go to 5:32 to see most of them in one room)?

It would be nice to see Halo live up to that M on the box. I think Halo 4 should be bloodier. Make the colours way nicer then the dull bore of Halo Reach but also make a lot of places in Halo4 have a much darker feel.
