OK, this is rediculous. Every game that me and my friends play, is extremely laggy. No, its not my internet, because I am the only one on it, and I have checked several times, and I have also restarted my router several times. My friend says it laggs for him aswell.
I get kicked from his chat party every 3 minutes too. Plus I get kicked from his game party aswell.
It has been like this for about a week, no change. PLEASE FIX THIS microsoft. Your reputation with Halo 4 is already hanging by a thread and your just going to let the Halo 4 servers fall into disrepair?
If you’re getting kicked from party chat, it’s your connection (or his). Halo servers have nothing to do with Microsoft’s Party chat. Check both of your NATs (Open, Moderate, or Closed).
My NAT has been the same for 6 years (He doesnt get kicked from the party I do). and its not just the party chat, its also the game party. But every game it says everyone is either in yellow or red.
There are fewer people, and fewer good connections to match people together.
Grifball really is the only playlist that seems to have consistent, terrible lag. Every other playlist has been fine for me, minus a handful of matches.
Try joining other people’s parties and see if it lets you. Try with several different people. If you can connect to some people’s parties/games with ease than it must be you and your friends networks.
Also, your network connection could be awesome. It could just be their end.
I ran into this awhile back. I assume you are using an ethernet cable to connect to your router? If so, your cable is probably going bad. Eventually a bad cable will start kicking you off Xbox Live. I would try swapping your cable out for a new one.
I quit my last three games because of lag. Personally I’m hoping that with all of the manpower at 343i and the new technology at their disposal, Halo 5 has dedicated servers.
You can thank no regional connection filtering…I’m suprised no one asked about this in Pax…
