It seems that today, the Halo: 4 servers were down for multiple hours and still are currently.

This seems to have just happened as I and a handful of friends were just playing the game this past week. It seems spartan ops is also unplayable regardless of if you’re playing solo or co-op. Hopefully these issues can be brought to 343 industries’ attention before Infinite and before the sunsetting.

I don’t think so, i saw reach servers were up today while i was on. Halo 4 however is still down, been almost a week now. Hopefully 343 knows now, i’ve seen many forum posts talking about it the past couple days.
So i tried all through the night multiple times. I can only play campaign still, i’m still unsure if i can do co-op.
As for the infinity, i get the same error message each time:
“Information could not be retrieved from Xbox Live.”
I noticed it’s different that the normal error message i would get last week when i was still able to get into both multiplayer and spartan ops games. the usual:
“You appear to have lost your connection to Xbox Live. You must be connected to Xbox Live to play.”
Prior to the servers going down the latter was the only error message i had gotten and it was a common one. Everyone I partied up with experienced this regularly, and it really wasn’t that much of a problem. It was more of a frustration as it took so much extra time.
Anyway if you happen to be experiencing the same issue feel free to post it here. If we can keep this at the top of legacy support someone who can help is bound to see it.

Pretty sure this is what was causing the issues, especially after seeing how bad of a start they had on infinite. So many server issues that it may have been the cause of halo 4 being dropped and highly unlikely that they will pay any attention to legacy games until their flight is over.
Seems like Halo 4’s servers have been down for, what, 11 days now? And the file share even longer (Over a month at this point, going on 5 weeks)
Yip 4 been down for me as well. Clearly forums are a waste of time to interact with anyone at 343 because by now surely SOMEONE would have at least responded to say whats going on. Sigh! Just another exampe of how game companies have totally lost their way with customers/gamers. I understand, even if I dont agree, with sunsetting the older games. But if you are going to have an end date then make sure the damn things work until your cutoff date. Dont leave gamers (YOUR customers) in the dark (and 343 are by far not the only recent examples).
THE SERVERS ARE NOW BACK UP!!!
As of at least 40 minutes ago now the halo 4 servers have been back online. War games, challenges, and Spartan Ops are all working as they were previously again.
Game seems to mostly work now. I’m still having weird issues on Reach, 3, and 4 where, if I try to sign in with 4 gold accounts, it’ll perpetually say “Checking downloadable content data” Seems to almost always be fine with 2 people, but once I try to add a 3rd or 4th it does this. Same thing happens if I switch which accounts are the first two. It always works, but then adding a 3rd and 4th… same issue.
File share also still isn’t working =/

Halo 3 stats have not tracked on Halo Waypoint for a long time now i believe. I suspect it was back when they stopped tracking Reach’s stats, maybe even longer. It is unlikely this feature is something that will be coming back.
