I’m wondering if anyone else here is experiencing server issues right now? My roommate and I are both playing on different internet connections and we are both seeing the same kind of lag and bad connections. Anyone know whats up?
No, everything’s working for me. It’s most likely your modem’s fault. Can you try power-cycling it?
My internet is fine and I was also getting extremely terrible lag.
Every game I was in… Laggy lag lag.
I have no internet issues.

for more accounts. The main issue with H4 is the way 343 selects host is broken (Host History) and that there are no connection filters like “Best Connection” ot “Local Only” to solve it - as was done in previous Halo Titles to help address it. I’m not saying these filters make it perfect, but only 5% of my Halo Reach games are as lagged as 70% of my H4 games are - before I quit playing H4 multiplayer on June 6th.
And there are no servers hosting Halo games. XBL has a server farm that sets up the game, tallies the scores and posts the end results, but the game play itself is hosted by one Xbox and then all info (who shot where / what / when etc) is sent to the host. The host xbox analyzes the timing position data and decides who live or dies and then send it back to the rest of the clients players. It’s explained in detail here:
