I wonder if 343i plans on letting us purchase a Season Pass, sort of like how Gears of War 3 did theirs.
If you haven’t seen/heard of it, it’s a single purchase that you buy with Microsoft Points, or just over Xbox LIVE, which allows you to download all of the new DLC that comes out as soon as it’s released. This makes it cheaper than buying each DLC separately, and there’s no doubt there will be DLC for H4.
If there is going to be a Season Pass, I will probably invest in it, because I regretted not buying the one for Gears.
Or like COD Elite. I would love that. I get all Halo DLC anyway, so if I could go ahead and pay ahead of time and get extra perks, that would be great. Anything that would help with getting more people to have the DLC when it comes out, to make it easier to get matched in them, would be great as well.
It depends on a lot of things. First thing is that you should save money if bought, the second thing is they shouldn’t just throw armor dlc at you and say “heres your 30$'s worth of dlc” I want maps. Next if they choose to bundle any future halo 4 dlc with another halo game in the future similarly how halo wars did with halo 3, odst did with halo 3, and anniversary did with reach, don’t have that dlc have an effect on the price of the season pass, because if they trick me into buying the dlc twice I’m going to be pissed. So lets say if they have 5 map packs and 1 comes with a future game with each dlc buyable for 10$(800 ms points) include the 4 not with the game and make the pass 30$. Also if they choose to give pass users the dlc early only make it a week early. Not any longer.
A $30 pass is about perfect, considering there will probably around 3 map packs. Obviously, I don’t know if that’s true, but I feel like it will be roughly 3. I would even be fine with $40 if they threw in some exclusive armor sets for season pass owners. Just a thought, though.
If they don’t do it, it’s no big deal, because I’ll probably buy all of the DLC either way.
