Halo 4 score system?

So I was watching the newest trailer for halo 4 and i noticed in one of the multi-player clips that the medals have points attached to them and the score for the team increased by the total worth of the medals. So i was Just wondering what peoples thoughts were on a score system that wasn’t based just on kills but on a medal point system.

Note: The game type they are playing is regular Br slayer

You can see what im talking about in this video: Time 6:31-6:48

Dunno. Won’t know what to think till I play it. But i am partial to regular slayer, but maybe this will work.

Alot of us have seen this. I like the idea of it. Promites team work. I would probably get more points for a headshot than just beating someone down. Getting assist also contributes. Which is nice.

Depends. I don’t know how it’ll work out.

Here is one situation I can think of.

BLUE team is down by three kills and 15 points (5 points a normal kill) but with ten seconds remaining someone gets two kills with a BR. They get five points for each head-shot and five points for each kill so 20 points in total. Now let’s apply this to your score. BLUE is now five points ahead of REDD and they win. However, BLUE only got two kills even though they were down three . . . is this the right way of doing things?

Your choice. Ultimately I like the idea of skill points. Technically if you wanted to try it out you can set point values to certain in game actions in the Halo: Reach Game Options category. Set melee’s, kills, assists and etc. to five points or something and make the score limit between five hundred and one thousand. See how it plays.

10 points for a normal kill. Assist and kills couldnt possibly get you the same number of points.

I just wouldn’t apply high point values to other actions such as kills. Say 5 points for a kill then maybe 3 points for headshots or assists. Ultimately it pushes teamwork to win the game, but kills still control the major outcome of the game.
