Halo 4 Sample Sountrack, What Say Ye?

What do you guys think of the Sample Soundtrack? I for one, absolutely love it. 1:37 blew my -Yoink!-ing mind!
Marty, I’ll miss you, but I think Neil will be an apt replacement.
Post your opinion on the Soundtrack thus far.

My opinion, is that we need to get said soundtrack as part of the Legendary Edition.

Aye, I agree completely.

This. I never understood why game devs don’t put the soundtrack in their special editions. Instead of wasting time making extra cosmetic items for in-game use, just throw in a soundtrack.

I say this here new swab be a right fine addition to ye Halo crew. Ol’ man Marty will be missed but this be a welcome successor indeed.

I look forward to manin’ the canons to this mighty sound. 'Tis bliss for me eardrums.

Arghh…

So far, the only Games that I’ve seen have soundtacks in the special edition, is Deus Ex, Mass Effect, and Star Craft 2. I would buy the special edition if there was a soundtrack in it.

It was mediocre at best IMO.

It wasn’t emotional, neither was it IN THE SLIGHTEST epic.

2.5/10

The thunder of the drums as I sail the rough waves be thumping in my heart. My peg leg wasn’t blown off but it be shorter due to all the tapping that just had to be done throughout the entire three minute’s of frequent, refreshing variations, umm, arrr.

I loved it I think he will do a great job, but I read somewhere that it will have a dubstep-ish beat to it at some points no wub wub but it would be loosely I don’t all around like the sound of that

Great track, though not a stand-out – probably by design. If they gave us any of the truly emotional pieces, it’d lessen their impact when we hear it in the released game. That, and it’d contribute to hype, and hype is toxic (“Welcome to Reach.”).

If that track is great, then the rest of the soundtrack could easily be godly.

this soundtrack doesnt sound like halo at all. it didnt sound epic. most importantly where are the monks

Yeah i was a little disappointed when i didn’t hear the monks. But I’m sure they will be in other tracks… after all this is only a sample

I think it strayed too far off from the originals. Sure it was good, but not ‘Halo’ good.

> this soundtrack doesnt sound like halo at all. it didnt sound epic. most importantly where are the monks

Were ye not readin’ that them sounds be but a sample? Thoust need show patience for the great bald chorus of old to make their voices known.

Um, Neil Davidge handpicked a whole choir…ya know…vocals? Like the monks you heard in the earlier games? Don’t worry your little minds, there will be monks in this game.

This. It sounded like it was forced/was trying to hard.

The soundtrack Must be in the legendary edition

Sounds amazing and halo like. I think they are saving the best music for release though. Also does the dip in the song at 22 seconds give anyone else chills? link to song

yes…

i like the song

Sounds amazing and all the info about Neil Has me so hype It seems as thought many of the hater havent read or look at the info about Neil.

Look for some of the info

He has assembled An amazing group consisting of many Choir and Chanter similar to those used in halo 1, 2, 3 and In the Q&A on face book he mentions that there are something hes leaving for the campaign that will be very awe inspiring

Also wanted to add Marty IS part of bungie he left with the rest and wouldn’t ever likely come back this is not the fault of 343 this was his decision.

Neil is a great Musician with an Amazing background and a great Vision. Also he is a huge fan of the series, further promoting the fact that 343 is made up of 100% fans, not only that but he was so inspired by halo when the first talk about him that he started writing and composing before he was even hired that there still using to this day that’s just amazing

PS some of the people complaining will never be happy. Any and everything released will not end the ranting and raving
