will we see a new game or a carbon copy like the rest of the halo games.
i don’t know about the rest of the community, but i am ready to have a brand new halo experience. i love halo, but it is getting old. every new game that comes out is cool for a while because it looks good and has a FEW new features, but in the end it still plays the same as the last, which causes it to burn out faster.
this is my theory why the reach community died out faster than h2 & h3. people want new games not the same game.
i will still buy 4 even if it is the same as the last, because i’m in it for the story not the multiplayer. muliplayer is a bonus to the game, it is not the game, and should not be the blueprint for how the plays.
343 you are not bungie so please DO NOT COPY THEM! i beleive in you please don’t let us down.

I don’t know what Halo you’ve been playing, but I have to change my entire ways of playing with each new installment.

The problem came from the community, the majority of the community no matter what the product will always complain about something, and say this needs fixed. Bungie did that in fact and listened to the community too much which is the eventual downfall of any developer.
Think about it, people loved Halo 1, and loved Halo 2. Those were both games that had little to no influence from the cynical community that has absolutely no idea how games or made, let alone know what they want.
343i, if you’re remotely smart, and Frankie kinda agrees with my statement because it coincides to what he said, is that the Halo community, let alone the majority of the community doesn’t know what it wants inside of a game, but they claim essential change because they’re finally comfortable with the former product. They get the change they wanted, but they’re not comfortable with it and complain about how it doesn’t work, and it’s “too much change”. It’s your own fault Bungie made Reach the way it was, albeit I love the game the community is what made it more than Bungie.

We’re not talking about a playlist, or a maps spawn or killzone, or some gun nerf. What we are talking about IS THE WHOLE GAME.
Reach is one big problem that needs to be patched.

Neither was I.
No, it really isn’t. The problem is that the game has somewhat bad maps, outside of that it’s a perfectly fine game. The Armor Abilities are cleverly made to have advantages in some areas, while having huge disadvantages in other places that the other Armor Abilities cover, people complaining that they’re dying by them and that’s it’s unfair, or it takes too long to kill someone when they use a specific one is only childish complaints that no developer should take seriously. The people who have a problem with Halo Reach will always have a problem with Reach, and the people who like it now are getting alienated and will eventually move away from it because they’re trying to patch it. Not exactly a smart idea.
I understand what you’re trying to say, but I don’t think anybody wanted a campaign that took canon, poured gasoline on it, and lit it on fire. Also, I don’t think anybody wanted a multiplayer that gave everybody a crutch (AA’s), crappy copy-and-paste-from-campaign-CoD-style maps, and ultimately a multiplayer catered to the casuals. And, if people did ask for that, why would Bungie go through with it and not listen to their true, loyal Halo fans? I don’t think it was much of the community’s fault.
With that old engine everything must look like a COPY.But about gameplay i’ve see something best and new.everything shoulden’t be new otherwise we must call that a new franchies.
but i’m sure everything has changed with 343 and i hope that is better than other.
however this is my opinion

I dont think you understand the concept of sequals. They exist to give more of the same while adding a few new features. This is the way every sequal works. They do not exist to give an entirely new game. If you want a while new experience then buy a game from a different franchise. Games with the word “Halo” in the title are expected to play the same unless they change genres like Wars did.
Oh BTW reach died because it was TOO differnt fromt eh past halo games. COD puts out updated versions of its game yearly and it is still beloved, apparently they didnt get yout “do drastic changes or die” memo.

Yupp cuz the community clamored for invisibility on demand, to buff rockets, an invincibility button, and to chaneg the basic shooting mechanism that existed since CE.
most of you sound like your on the multiplayer bandwagon.
halo is not multiplayer. halo actually has a story to it that people would enjoy no matter what, there are alot of good shooter games out there, and when i play them, that i say “man, i wish there was a halo game like this”.(ex. Boarderlands or Brink, or even Fallout) Like i said halo is not multiplayer, it is a story that is somtimes told through good action games.
and, for the record reach was good.
here are my top six halo campaigns:
Halo ce/anniversery(SOON TO BE!!)
Halo ODST (Bungies rebirth to greatness)
Halo Wars(breaking the next barrier!)
Halo Reach
Halo 2
Halo 3
P.S. multiplayer is the extra content that comes with the game.
