Halo live action digital series: Forward Unto Dawn - 46 million views
Also, one week after the release it’s interesting to see that the user reviews on metacritic has jumped from 2.1 on last Tuesday morning to 6.1 this morning. (Side note: BO2 has the same fate of skewed low rating of 4.1 on launch day as well)
As a long time Halo fan since CE, IMHO H4 is definitely one of the best.
As a recent CoD fan (started at MW3), BO2 is in position to be one of the best in that series as well.

I like both for different reasons. Not going to compare them myself (just like as a sports fan of both American football vs. soccer, I refuse to compare the two )

Stop being a killjoy, we are happy our beloved series is doing well even years after it released and we still love the game and are happy for it.

Very true.
However, the sales numbers and more importantly how many players are playing it are definitely influencing how much enjoyment a player can get, for MP:
More players = Better matchmaking experience
Better matchmaking = Less lag
Better matchmaking = Less skill gap in the lobby
Less lag & less skill gap = more fun
