First off, let me state that I am a member of KSI GLOBAL not Bill’s KSI or any of those other shady organizations. This post is not about KSI, it is about a Halo 4 RP. If you wish to smack talk me about KSI, feel free to message me, but this post is not the place. I thank you ahead of time.
So, is anyone into the Roleplay scene? I haven’t Roleplayed in years and I think I want to get into again however I want it to be more interactive. I’ve been thinking of starting one in Halo 4. For those who dont know what RP or Role play is let me explain.
The players create their character and make a back story for it. Ex. “A Spartan who was drafted against his will and keeps to himself. He was raised on the streets and is used to fending for himself and surviving. Being street raised, he prefers pistols over most other military weapons.” Just some sort of story. Most of the time, people do Roleplay in a forum and set different topics as “rooms” or scenarios. Characters can enter and exit as they please.
Now, here’s my idea: Since I like to build things, we can have people make different maps to comply with the story.
Maybe we’ll have some admins who are putting out the story.
We start a new topic specifically for the group or start a private Facebook group which needs members to be approved before joining.
On the private group page or Forum topic, we post what times we are hosting the maps for members to join. If someone needs to leave, hand it over to someone who has the necessary maps and the new leader posts that he is running the game. All RP sessions will be invite only, so that way we dont have random people coming in and distracting us.
And for the topic you’ve been waiting for probably: Combat. We can post what times battles are occuring. Of the members we have (due to the server only supporting 16 people), we will have a random draft of players. Ex. If BLUE TEAM has 36 players associated with it and RED TEAM has 42 players associated with it, we will randomly pick 8 from each TEAM and post the names of the members. If it’s some sort of story with multiple facftions, we will post which factions are going head to head.
MICROPHONES ARE A NECESSITY. If you wish to have a private conversation with a player(s) while we are playing, you can go private. Now, obviously there are going to be different asthetic things in some of the maps, especially the ones I make. Please use those to your advantage when playing and storytelling. It add’s more to the fun.
For example: Spartan Johnson walks up to Spartan WIlliams. "Hey man, what
are you doing?"
Spartan Williams turns to reveal a Dominion Base Terminal With an upside down Traffic Cone on top. “Dude, I’m frying some eggs. Gimme the salt.” lol
Lastly, we must have rules. Because this is run by KSI members, I ask that all players comply with the KSI Code of Conduct. That being said, let me reiterate that since we are a community of friends, no trash talking, foul language, drug use, sexual references, or otherwise unneccesary behavior is unacceptable by KSI and may also upset other players.

I did a similar thing in Halo Reach; always nice to find more roleplayers in the Halo community though.
