In halo 4, the covenant are going to be needing a warthog counter part. and as the title suggests, the Revenant is the likeliest candidate for this. Why you might ask? well, when you consider the likeliness of the Spectre or the Prowler coming back, you realize that the Revenant is really the only one that has even a possibility of coming back(Some of you may not like this, deal with it). There are two major pieces of evidence that back up my reasoning:
The first major reason that the Revenant is coming back(And this is canonical) is that the Revenant majorly replaced the Spectre and the Prowler. Which is understandable considering that the Revenant is majorly superior compared to the other two in terms of firepower and mobility. Evidence
2)The other reason is that the Revenant is already made by the Sangheili, which the other two aren’t. both the Spectre and the Prowler were made on High charity, which got destroyed with the destruction of the Ark. As well as the majority of the vehicles still operational to the sangheili post war were Revenants. Evidence 2
This is just my opinion, I for one love that the Revenant is (Most likely)back. It was such a fun vehicle to use in reach, personally I hope that it gets as awesome sound effects as the ghost in Halo 4.

but then it would just be another warthog(Spectre), it wouldn’t be unique if it was just a covenant clone of the warthog(Just like how the beam rifle is a covenant clone of the sniper rifle, but worse).

No, no. I mean the Revenant being a Warthog wannabe.
Actually, its the other way around. The warthog wishes it was the revenant. In most, if not all, of the matches I’ve played, the revenant kicks the warthog’s butt across the map and back. The revenant can flip the hog, blast it to bits in three or four hits and wreck it in a head on collision with its boost on.
So, to anyone who said the revenant was unremarkable, you’ve obviously never used one or been on the receiving end of its fury.

It says that the Spectre is widely replaced by the Prowler not the Revenant. That is because at that point in the war the Brutes were the head warriors of the Covenant not the Elites. If we were going by canon the Spectre makes more sense. Reach takes place before CE-H3. Reach is the only game to feature the Revenant.
“Following the end of the Human-Covenant War, Revenants made up the majority of Covenant ground vehicles that remained operational on Sanghelios.”
That quote is the only one that would suggest that Revenants might be back. I’d rather see the Spectre though. I could care less if the Prowler ever made a comeback.
