Im very confused on whats going down on Feb. 29. I know its Xbox Spring Showcase where they have press come check out there upcoming stuff. There is an article on Twitter saying that Halo 4 will be shown here which could mean new trailer or more details but would Microsoft really show Halo 4 to the press before us fans? Wouldnt they want everyone to see or will we get to see what the press saw? I hope there is Halo 4 news but I havent heard any confirmation from 343i or Microsoft. Anyone know whats going on?
They show stuff to the press so that they can show it to us…

Basically its been leaked that there will be information at X-12. The dates are from Feb. 29 to March 5th

But all of this is just rumors and speculation, so don’t get too hyped over nothing, better to be calm.
In fact here is something for you. “Plan for the worst, hope for the best” Meaning, plan for no information what so ever, don’t get hyped, don’t get your hopes up, so if it does turn out to be a no show, at lest you didn’t get hyped over nothing. But you’ll get even more hyped, if there is information.
Halo 4’s entire preview cycle is really odd coming from Microsoft, they usually give their exclusives these huge advertising and preview periods. Reach had trailers 12 months out from release and Gears of War 3 had trailers 18 months from release. We’re less than 7 months out from release (presumably the typical Halo September release) and we have basically no info at all about 4.
343 probaly have a lower advertising budget than Bungie did with the previous Halo games. I agree it’s strange that there’s been previews yet, hopefully the dates will show us something.

Being that Microsoft is the same publishing studio as Bungie, their advertising budget is probably the same, if not more. We just have to wait for the marketing campaign to really get under way.

There is NO CHANCE of that being true with Halo 4 being Micrisoft’s last real chance to resurrect Halo to its previous might. They probably have a bigger marketing budget. With the game releasing in November (presumably) there are just over 8 months till release and that’s pretty normal to be honest. That’s of course, if (more like when) we get info during the Showcase.

To be fair, Gears 3 had trailers much earlier because it was originally going to be released in april, but MS had epic bump it up to sep.

madness? THIS IS SPAAAARTAAAAAA!
I wouldn’t doubt that the Spring Showcase would be a great time for Microsoft to showcase a title from their flagship series. With that said: with this being their first time developing Halo in-house, I’d say they might be a little more cautious with breaking the barrel open just yet.

But it’s the 26th…the showcase is suppose to happen the 29th & March 1st. I’m pretty sure that is three days away.

maybe they cant show us the trailers because they are so amazingly awesome and epic that it would turn us to stone. Anybody ever think of that?
