Halo 4 remix Feedback

Hi there fellow Halo lovers! I am trying to submit my remix but first I wanted to get some feedback, if all of you wouldn’t mind. Please and thank you.

I like it,Sounds retro to me.

Honestly, I have to say it’s pretty bad, the progression comes in to late, and the synths you used sound like presets.

Not bad. Maybe add some video clips. :stuck_out_tongue: Gotta get some visual stimuli too.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m still in the process of mastering it though.

Probably will when I fully complete the song

It’s a bit too high pitch sounding for my liking, but overall I would listen to it if it was a bit deeper sounding, it’s quite catchy and I love the little piano bit. It’s one of the better remixes I’ve heard so far.

I gave it a 7. It’s a bit above average. In my opinion though, it ended too quickly/ abruptly. Definitely keep up the work and trying out different things!

Also, you might get more replies if you posted this in the Community Creations forum

Er, mastering won’t help, It’s more of a sound design problem, just take a few hours and make some synths you like. Also durring the middle Ish I think you stick on the same loop for to long.Just an opinion though.

A minute in isn’t that bad depending on what hes exactly trying to go for.
It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t something that I would rock out to, but it wasn’t bad.

The synths seem weak and repetitive IMO, so does the bass for that matter.

It’s called an opinion man.

It’s all good, I respect your opinion. I have changed some of the synths and made sure to not leave out the bass.

True, thanks.

I don’t make music, but I think you have some pretty bad transitions if that’s what they’re called.

1:18-1:35 is what I like the least.

I enjoyed 0:38-0:45 the most.

Hey mate, I agree the progression changes are good but they go way out of key which is staggering - and i think you’re trying to put too many ideas into this.

I’d suggest choosing a key (range) and section or two (idea) of the mix and expanding on that - otherwise good luck man if you’re happy with it don’t let anyone stop you.

I’ve got a remix up there too but I’m doing it just for kicks, It’s not often you get other sound designer’s sounds to play with at your discretion

-Greg.

I’m ineligible so i’m doing it for kicks 2
