OK. I was going through town the other day and I noticed a brand new GameStop on one of the biggest roads in one of the biggest cities in the states region. So I stoped by to check it out and renew my power up card which had expire a week ago and to buy a game. I said the the cahsire “Yep i gotta get another game to hold me out for a while” the man replied “how come?” and I told him “Not too many of my friends from real life play Halo anymore, and I need something ti hold me over until Halo 4 releases” the man says back to me “Yeah i can understand that, I am a halo fan myself, I cant wait to get my hands on Halo 4!” so i said back to him “you dont even know how exited I am” and so finally…these moving words changed me as he replied back " So if you a Halo fan, are you interested in pre ordering Halo 4?" in shock I said “pre order? they dont even have a set release date yet.” the man puts his finger on the counter and I look down and a picture of the halo 4 master chief and the halo 4 logo. It said 11/3(NOVEMBER 3rd!) I instantly peed my pants a little. “WHAT?!” I yelled in awe. “I checked Halo waypoint this morning there isnt a release date!” the man said “Thats what I said! the manager told us to put it with the other pre orderable games.” in desbelife I said “Are you SURE that this is the Halo 4 official release date?!” the man said only this word “positive”. The whole way back home I was saying the myself…November…3rd? I set a countdown on my phone, marked my calender and as I was doing that I saw that November the third was a saturday…friday midnight release NO SCHOOL YES SCORE MIDNIGHT RELEASE YES YES YES! Now…community DISSCUSS AWAY. PS again this isnt leaked please dont take it off! this is just for speculation and the see if it is true. reach was released on a tuseday. mw3 on thursday etc. battlefield on tuesday. anniversary on a weekday I know.

They put in any random date at the end of the year just so the game is in the system and then change it when the date is officially announced.

I worked at a gamestop… They do it because they have no idea what the release date actually is but they desperately want you to pre-order the game so they put in a fake date. It makes you more likely to pre-order.

Yep. Stores do this all the time. It’s just an estimation so people have an idea of when it’s coming out.

Yep. Games almost exclusively come out on Tuesdays. Nintendo does other days of the week sometimes, but they’re weird. Pretty sure Microsoft only releases on Tuesdays.

There has yet to be an announcement for a limited or legendary edition. Can you still pre-order a legendary edition for example even though they havent announced it yet?
You pre-order basic edition now and when they announce Legendary and Limited, you can upgrade.

Skyrim and Gears of War 3 were released on a Friday. Every game is released on Tuesday with very rare Friday Midnight releases. Every single time someone points out some sort of fake/placeholder date it’s in November… I really hope it’s September. I hate November releases as their is always a good chance of cold nights. I plan on waiting a long time in line for Halo 4 and I plan on getting very few hours of sleep.

Depends on store, here in Sweden we’ve got an online retailer that takes pre-order for xbox 720, Ps4, Halo 4 and many other titles. They’ve had Diablo 3 pre-order available for years
