As in region free so it can play on any console?
Looking at a few pictures of the box art (the official one) on game stores, it looks like they have PAL & NTSC on the box, so it is likely to be region locked.

Most 360 games are region locked so Halo 4 will probably be locked too.
I can play my NTSC Reach on my Pal Xbox, so that better be the case for Halo 4.
I’m hoping that the one I preordered isn’t PAL, and isn’t in a language other than American English.

Every Halo game has been region free so far, and my Reach copy has NTSC on the box, and it works fine.

Most games always have their format on the case regardless if they’re region free or not.
At least with all the imports I have anyway.

no its not going to be region-locked…most Microsoft studios/games are region free as far as i know
LoL!!! ALL exclusive games for xbox 360 are region free (you can play in Latam, EU, America, Africa and Asia.)

Lol, i just did some research and a gaggle of Halo games have been region specific and been compatible with other regions. Wiki, I love you

Not true! I am in Austria and i have a lot of games from the US because i prefer English

I love speaking English. But i just prefer the games in that language (Except SKyrim!) because its the original one. Just like in the movies because i want the real voice of the actors.
Back on topic. Can any develorers or testers confirm the compatibality of a PAL version H4 on a US xbox?
Making games region locked is sheer stupidity. IMO it shouldn’t even be legal. Any 360 game should play on any 360 console.
i only beg 343 to keep english voices optional on multiplayer. i´m sick of the spanish translation.
Microsoft published games are not region locked… every halo besides Halo1 on the original Xbox is Region Free.
