Since Halo 3 I have loved recon armor. Every piece looked amazing! In Halo Reach, it’s coolness was dialed down a bit. Then, in Halo 4, it was revamped again! The body and shoulders looked nothing like the originals, and even worse, it was awarded at a low rank! It lost what made it special; the awesome look, and the difficulty of getting it.
All that considered, the Halo 4 version still has a good helmet. I cant find a good combination of armor to go with it though. Nothing looks good with a recon helmet. Does anyone have an armor combination that goes good with the recon helmet? The pieces can be from specializations and unlocks, but I prefer that they are not from the champions bundle, so that I can use them in Spartan Ops.
Recon ceased to be a big prize look at me helmet a long time ago…

I find that Raider, Warmaster, and Tracker mix well with Recon, and i guess pathfinder if you think you can pull that look off.

the recon SURG is probably one of the hardest to get in game.
I find the SURG goes really well with protector DRFT. the skins seem to flow
Recon Helemt, the massive Scout shoulders, and the Mark V torso if you got it. Steel primary with Rust 2nd, legendary visor. That’s what I’m wearing.

I know it uses Champion’s, but I wanted to make the Halo 3 set.
I LOVE Halo 4’s Recon Chest. I’ve been wearing it since Day1. The front looks so good, and those “wings” on the back are just freaking -Yoink!-.
These are a bunch of good combinations. I think that i will try out some of them. But I am still looking for a combination that looks like the Halo 3 version. I was thinking CIO chest…
Seen most of the armor that you can pick up in Halo 4 and to be honest I still prefer the armor from REACH because at least it looked like it could take a hit. Most of the Halo 4 armor, to me anyway, looks like it was slapped together from the left over parts of a robot from a japaneese anime flick.
Appearance is sort of secondary anyway since none of the various armor components have any tangible effect on your spartan.
