Halo 4 ranking system suggestions

from what i’ve heard halo 4 is going to use a credit ranking system, which i’m fine with. because i know they’re putting a lot more emphasis on winning. however i still prefer the halo 3 system because it incouraged team work to get the win, instead of betraying to get a good weapon which happens all to often in reach.

so i’m suggesting combining the two to get the best of both worlds. to make both the competitive player who enjoys getting better and playing in competitive games, and the casual player who’s in it only just to have fun and to kill time.

I’d like to see ranked playlist brought back, and like in halo 3 have an overall rank and a rank for each individual ranked playlist. but to keep players who can’t reach the highest rank in a ranked playlist from getting discouraged because they can’t rank up. DO NOT include the the indidual playlist rank with the overall rank, keep them totally separate. the highest overall rank should be achievable through credits earned in only social playlist and even spartan ops missions(credits earned in ranked playlists would go towards the overall rank as well). and the highest individual ranked playlist ranks should be achievable through credits earned only in that playlist.

further more in the ranked playlist the credits earned in a game should be your medal credits, the victory bonus, and how ever else credits will be earned in halo 4. but if you loose there should be a credit loss, but you still get your other credits. let me give an example to better explain. (say you get 200 credits for your game performance and you win you earn 5000 more for a victory bonus so your total is 5200, but if you loose you get -3000 for your loss penalty so your total for the game becomes -2800 credits, but the negatives dont count against the your overall rank, only the ranked playlist rank, so credits earned in ranked playlists still go towards your overall rank). But in social playlists i think there shouldn’t be a loss penalty, so if you earn 200 credits for your game performance and win you get the 5000 victory bonus for a total of 5200 but if you loose there’s no penalty so your total is only 200.

also both the overall rank and the individual ranked platlist ranks should go by the same ranking scale to simplify things. e.g. if general is the highest overall rank it would also be the highest ranked playlist rank.

i know that’s a lot of words but i really think it would bring back the competitive aspect of halo while still satisfying casual gamers, thus reaching the maximum amount of the gaming market. because i’m sure most people like me, who get joy from winning and working with a team to achieve something that isn’t easy to achieve (like a 50 in halo 3), have a hard time playing halo reach because there is no motivation. there is no point of reaching the highest rank in halo reach all it does is prove that you play a lot it says nothing about how good you really are. which i realize there are people that enjoy that and i hold nothing against them. which is why i’ve suggeested this alternative to make every one happy
