Guys, I know topics on the Halo 4 ranks are very repetitive, almost annoying.
But most of them talk about how Halo 4 ranks should be like past games, and how Reach ranks are far inferior to the Halo’s before, blah blah blah.
But I have finished watching a video, again, by Stazima,Link here..
In the video he talks about ranks throughout all Halo games and the pros and cons of each of them, and after analyzing that, he comes to this, rather reasonable conclusion.
The conclusion is that the Halo 4 ranking system could be based on the BPR (Battle proficiency ranking) that exists in all our waypoint service records.
Please watch the video, and discuss why you think this would be a good or bad idea, thanks.

Maybe broken now, but if it were to be implemented into Halo 4, it’s obvious it would be tampered with, to help with it being “accurate”.
BPR is a horrible method of ranking. I have several 50s in H3, and I worked hard for every one of them. When I finally got my first fifty, I was so overjoyed that I broke my headset in excitement. BPR is totally different. I’ve never taken Reach seriously, and I haven’t even played that much, yet I have a BPR of 100. A 100 is way too easy to get. I want a ranking system that motivates me to keep playing because I want to rank up so badly.

Disagree strongly.
Even i can stomp on some of those with BPR of 100. It doesn’t automatically make you good and trust me, i am no Cossta or SatansReverence or Gamesager.
The 1-50 system (at least early to mid life of Halo 3) was IMO working pretty good, separating and organizing players based on a number. You were matched with those closer to that number but say i was a 36 and i went up against a 50, i would probably get stomped on because they were that good and most likely travel in a team. Were all 50s good? Hell no, people bought and sold accounts like no tomorrow but legit skilled 50s were nightmare to play against if you were unprepared.
Say what you want about the “up hill” progression". If you want to earn things, it’s not going to be easy. If you do bad, you are NOT rewarded for it but if you play good enough, you rank up. Of course it’s not always that simple with derankers, second accounters, and grifers but then again, don’t search randoms.
But please tell me how Reach’s less strict trueskill-MMO grind system is much better in the longrun for Reach’s lifespan post Halo 4. I highly doubt the current system will do for Halo 4 and on; there needs to be something better.
